We're missing from the list November 6th-11th AKL. We arrive on DS6's 7th birthday!

I enjoy reading everyone's reviews/updates/information! Can't wait for our first stay here

After losing out of free dining at CBR, we are staying in a standard view room with free dining from 11/10-11/17. I'm actually looking forward to staying at a deluxe resort instead of a moderate, now if i can only get the wife on board since she was so keen on the price increase.

After several resort changes over the day (lol)...we are heading back to AKL from Nov 10-19. My daughters and I have all been there, but it'll be my husbands first time even setting foot in the resort. We are also celebrating our 10th anniversary!

That being said. I asked the CM on the phone if I could place a request to be far from any smoking areas, and she said that it's a smoke free resort. But I recall there being a DSM along the path to the buses? We booked standard this year (what kept it in budget) and I worry that the windows may face the bus path where the DSM is? Can anyone shed any light on this??

What are any other good requests for standard room placement? Hoping we can upgrade to pool view while discount is still out, but we will have to see!

I just made a 7:30am ADR at Boma and I'm not even freaking out about the time or getting there b/c it's right down the hall Yeah!!!

After much ado with free dining yesterday and losing out at both Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs we are very excited to say we will be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge October 31-November 7. We got a bunk room pool view since its all that was available. I'm taking two boys so the bunks are perfect for us. Is pool view noisy? I would prefer savannah view but they were all booked up. What a treat to stay at AKL your first time at WDW.... just taking your first step into the lobby will make your heart skip a beat! I have always wanted to stay at AKL, I always book a Boma meal for every visit and arrive early to take in the beautiful surrounds!

But I am giddy as all get out cause in 15 days I will finally be staying at AKL (and CL too)!
