For WHat??:confused3....You just unloaded all yer junk for the move, now you're going to fill it right back up again....popcorn::

What is the latest on the refurb? I thought I remembered reading the club level lounge would be relocated for a while. Wondering if that will affect our stay in May.

I was actually just going to ask how the refurb has been going with the DVC rooms and, more importantly, how it has affected the CL rooms on the 4th floor. I remember when they were first letting people know about it there were a lot of people scared off and changing hotels (which I thought was borderline ridiculous). But it doesn't seem like it has really bothered anyone, at least from what I can tell.

As far as the lounge goes, last I read (somewhere, but I don't remember where) was that the lounge was going to be moved starting May 7th (which is our last day :(). I am not sure how long it will be moved for.

Beer other adult beverages and mi
What do you stock it with to save $$? If you are not cooking? Can we bring in our own beer?!! That would help.
Hehehe
Say we rent points and stay 8-10 days. What would you use it for , dead of summer.
I have never gone in summer before and we don't do well with heat so just thinking it through. If we do this, we will plan plenty of resort time for sure.

You can bring in food for breakfast and lunch. Also, alcohol, if you drink it. Soda, juice. Water Bottles, you can freeze for the park. You can make sandwiches for the park. On pool days you can bring down your own drinks and food. You can also bring in food for a game night "home". Has dining table, places to reheat...

Thanks, just planning the extras with breakfast, drinks and snacks at pool time has already taken about $400 off our food bill. Drinks are expensive. I would like to avoid dining plan if I can but I'll buy it again. My kids like to do expensive character meals. We mostly drink water there but we do like soda once in awhile. My question is, I've never gone OOP before. What do they do when you want coffee or soda at resort without refillable mug? Do they just give you a cup and where do you order that?

What's OOP?

I've been watching the Club Level thread a bit too, but haven't seen anything mentioned in there. I figured the knowledge base is more specific here. :) We got a very good discount, so I'll have no real complaints either way. It's always nice to know what to expect going in though.

If anyone has Club Level refurb updates, please share! @OhThePain will you report back if you get a chance next month?

out of pocket, I have always used the dining plan with refillable cups, don't want to do that next time.

although thinking about it , we could probably make coffee in the room to, huh
Bring/buy your own coffee and filters. I also recommend buying cheap refillable mugs and you can fill them up with coffee/cold drinks in your room.

Dh wants to bring our own coffee beans, grinder, pressed pot and frother.

He loves WDW but not the coffee. I think he is serious but not really sure.

:rolleyes1

Edit: I do realize grinding coffee beans in the room would be very annoying to sleepers, just pointing out dh's coffee attachment. No coffee bean grinding I promise.

Just wrap a beach towel around the grinder. ;)

With all these new revelations, I may always rent DVC.

One more ?? , anyone use room service? We have a 8:30 tour at MK and my DH does need to eat big breakfast. Staying in a standard room, not DVC and he will need to eat a good meal before The Mara opens.
Would room service at 6am cut it for us to make it to MK for our tour or am I out of luck for booking the early tour.

The Mara sells some excellent South African wines at very unDisney-like prices! Bottles typically run $15-$20 :goodvibes You can also buy the wines in the gift shops at Jambo and Kidani! :thumbsup2

I've been known to pay unDisney-like prices for things many times. What's a few bottles of wine!
