Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR SPORTS Resort

What's your fav dinner entree at the End Zone caf? May be arriving too late & too tired for DIS Springs (do love WP Express). Online reviews of the build your own pasta and the build your own chicken burger are decent. Thanks in advance for your advice :-)

london broil dinner was always my favorite.
but, they removed it last october and i pounted.......lol

the turkey dinners were another hit for me while there.

10 pm is when they stop serving the dinners.

So my trip is in 16 days to AS Sports. I have always checked in at our resorts. Never online. Somehow I wanted some CM interaction and personal touch. What is the advantage of online check in other then getting it out of the way on your arrival? I mean 20 minutes out of your day is not going to ruin my trip. The purpose is to relax, and enjoy every moment.

For me, I'd rather enjoy those 20 minutes wandering around the resort, in the parks, or eating.

We did online check in the last time we went to WDW. We still went to the front desk for some reason that I cannot remember...maybe to make sure we had the correct charging priveledges set for my niece and to make sure my MB charges would not go on my sister's account.

But we get to the resort so early in the AM that we don't really miss any resort/park/exploring time. Since we were arriving so early it wasn't like our room was going to be ready.

I actually enjoy the check-in experience. I guess I am just weird like that.

I don't use online check in

I love starting my stay there with the cm starting in the lobby and use the check in counter

Always a delight to chat with the cm

We just booked a quick trip sept. 18-22 staying here and feeling a little better about our pick after reading the board. I do have a questions how likely is the bus sharing between the 3 all stars? Origianaly we were booked at POR but got a great great deal for ASSP. This will be our 3rd trip staying on property other 2 were at BC and POP.

I go the last week of sept each year

Last few years I did not have a bus in the morning and afternoon that went to the other two hotels
On busses that only picked up at sports

Returning during the afternoon only had a couple of times it covered all 3 hotels

Here is some info you may find helpful.:)

I kept a "log" during one of my trips to All-Star Sports.

It takes the Buses about 2 minutes to travel from Sports to Music and about 2 minutes
from Music to Movies

Honestly I still dream about the cheese pizza. I don't know why it's so good but I had it 3 times during my trip. The last two times I subbed the salad for breadsticks because vacation calories don't count.

Of course not, desserts with every meal!

:drinking:
Good Morning fellow Sports lovers. I took the plunge yesterday and book a fall trip. Staying Monday 10/31- Thursday 11/3. Just a nice short trip as I had some southwest credit to use. Gotta love southwest out of Buffalo, nonstop:flower1::flower1:

Just me going solo this time. Hubby wants to wait til next year and take the grandson, he will be two then. I know MDE is so screwy. My dinner ressies are showing up but not my hotel reservation. Come on now. At least I know they took my money (of course they did) and I got a confirmation email.
Hey Lustergirl. I am out of Buffalo also. I know what you mean about Southwest, I love them and only use them. This is my DH and I's first time at AS Sports. Can wait to try it we usually stay at a Mod. CSR. Any recommendations at the food court. I already checked out to make sure there was a bar at the pool. Cannot go without my frozen Mango margaritas. :drinking:Next year we hope to be able to go as a whole family. Both DS and DD families which include 4 grandchildren. As much as I love going with my DH on our just us trips. I always love watching the little ones reactions to everything.

sports took out the ice cream and put in gelato about 2 years back.
that was the end of my desserts there....

have never cared for gelato but so many love it.
i guess i was outvoted on that one.......lol

I am with you on not being a gelato fan. I find it just to thick and heavy and prefer the light and refreshing taste of ice cream.
