After going back and forth with decisions, and booking Pop Century instead, with free QSDP coming out today and the particular room we had booked at Pop wasn't offered, we're back booked at All Star Sports 8/23 - 9/1 in the roll in shower room. With annual passes, for us it's just basically pre purchasing our tickets for next spring break and getting our dining for free!

I decided to book a rental car as well, so we can run out to the store if we want to. With a bit of a longer stay, I feel like I need some freedom.

I'm so excited that it includes a visit to Disneyquest as well as a round of mini golf for each of us as well! Plus new mugs. We barely used them last time we got them, but they are cute! We're not much of soda drinkers, so mostly got iced tea and lemonade with them.

I haven't been here in over a week and just saw this. Unless you have something that I don't know about, the package extras do not include Disneyquest tickets anymore. You get 4 tickets for mini-golf instead of 2 now also. Just thought I'd let you know. Have a great time!

Just arrived at All Star Sports resort today!
A nice cheer group gave us two cases of water they didn't need anymore as they where checking out. If anyone is here now or will be here before May 7th our check out day we can share some with you as it is only DH, DS, and I. Don't need that much water. PM me so we can make arrangements.

It originally said it included Disneyquest, but then changed. I talked to a phone agent that said it was a glitch and now doesn't include Disneyquest. Oh well.

Switched back to Pop since now our room type is available there.

The later in June it gets the greater # of 15s will be staying at Sports-some Guests(not all) try to avoid them.

Are there any special requests I should be making about room location? I am booked at a preferred rate. I will be traveling solo (yay!) and I'm in my early 30's and a fitness & Wellness instructor, so mobility or having young children isn't an issue. I plan to visit the parks from opening until noon and then return to the resort to escape the Florida summer heat and take a nap/maybe sneak in an in room workout. Then return to the parks in the evening for dinner and night time entertainment.

The Preferred buildings are the Surf's Up! buildings(Bldg. 1 and Bldg. 6).

I like being in Bldg. 6 ,2nd or 3rd floor overlooking Surfboard Bay(Pool).

From those rooms it is a short walk to End Zone Food Court ESPECIALLY the "corner rooms" 6255 and 6355-they are REAL close!

But,a lot of Guests don't like facing the Pool,so if that's the case,I would just request "Close to End Zone/side of building OPPOSITE Surfboard Bay.

3 days to Disney and I'm in the ER worried about some ridiculous colon infection or appendicitis. So sad. Please send pixie dust that it's not serious and I'm healed in time to go. Feeling defeated.

my dad had an infected colon and treated with antibiotics in the hospital and with a diet change was good to go on a trip 10 days later.

Thank you @WEDWDW again for the email address. I was contacted by one of the managers and he acknowledged what happened was not an appropriate CM response and would be taking action. He was very understanding and knowledgeable about the resort and wanted to make sure that we had a pleasant vacation. We were very impressed and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks again for everyone's help!

Wow, how scary! So glad it all turned out well and thanks for sharing.

Good news, it was not an abdominal infection as they feared. I actually have 3 separate things going on that just looked far more concerning all happening at once. The abdominal issues they think were caused by the 2+ weeks I've been on Erythromycin, so I have to stop taking it. Then I have a bladder infection and as of this morning I'm fighting what feels like a head cold/sinus infection (probably the reason for the fever). So, I still have a fever which feels crappy but thankfully nothing serious. Hopefully, I can kick it fast and the kids won't get it.

I'm guessing the meds I was on coupled with no sleep and dieting on top of it was just too much for my body.

But the silver lining is that I had wanted to lose another pound or two this last week before Disney and I ended up losing 4lbs! Not in a fun way but I'll take it at this point.

Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery!

Turns out my fever was the start of a sinus infection or at least head congestion. My ears hurt today, and feeling some pressure. I have really bad ears on the plane as it is, so this won't be pleasant but if the fever is gone and nobody else is sick I'm still planning on getting on that plane Sunday!

That antibiotic you were on is a killer for me
Sounds like it is not a drug that has serious side effects for you
