Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR SPORTS Resort

Well, I'm at the stage in my Disney blues that I'm playing the "one month ago today" game. So....one month ago today we were just arriving on the Magical Express to the All Star Sports Resort!!! I miss Disney World, cannot wait to go back.

I feel your pain! One month ago at this time, we were hanging out at Downtown Disney/Disney Springs.

I can dig it pretty patches. I keep thinking of my trip a month ago with hubby and I. We stayed at CSR and is was an awesome trip. Come on January.

Mac.... how was your stay last month at ASSp? Were you in Touchdown again? Room ok?

It was great
TD 10

View of garden foliage section and very quiet

Close to the food court

Loved the stay there!

Uggh. Going to the knee doctors about getting a total replacement. Trying to hold off until after my trip.

Has anyone ever stayed in a roll-in shower room that sleeps 3 people? We have stayed in a roll-in shower room at Pop Century for three people, but at Pop it usually ends up being two connecting rooms, one roll-in shower with a king bed and once standard room with two doubles, because you can't sleep 3 people in the king roll-in shower room. I would love to hear from someone who has been in a roll-in shower room recently at Sports.

I stayed in a roll-in shower room in September with three people and the room was the same as you experienced at Pop.

We'll be staying at AS Sports from Dec. 19-23. We've stayed on-site many times, but never at one of the All Stars. We stayed a couple times each at the Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge, way back in the early 2000's, and since then we've stayed dozens of times at the Fort Wilderness Campground. So while I'm familiar with WDW in general, I'm not at all familiar with the All Stars, and I'm trying to decide if there's a particular section we should request. Since it's a short trip, I expect we'll be in the parks most of the time and will not have a "resort day." We generally get to the parks at rope drop and stay through evening. We will have our car and prefer to drive to the parks, so bus transportation is not a factor. My priority would be the ability to get a good night's sleep and not be surrounded by noise. Any suggestions? Anything we should know about the resort? We'll have two connecting (I hope) rooms with 2 young adults (21 and 22) in one and two adults and a 15 yo in the other.

i have had many many stays at Sports.
i always request building 10 which one end of that building is closest to the food court.

you can request to be placed in #10 but on the other side of the football field.
always have a quiet stay when i do that.

no noise, easy sleep

(connecting rooms are another request you can make)

All Stars Sports is really a small resort so it isn't going to be a long walk anywhere you stay. PP is right on in asking for a room on the other side of the field. I was in a room that faced the field, while it was just a hop, skip and jump to the food court it was noisy. They play the movies on the football field at night, I didn't even have to leave my room since I could hear it it just fine. I wouldn't worry about views or preferred rooms there, as I said it's a small resort and it has outside halls so you probably aren't going to open your curtains anyway.

We stayed there earlier this month, great experience! I was so worried about our packages...I ordered a Prime Pantry order about two weeks before we arrived...when we came back from the parks the first night, it was there along with our luggage! We even did a few Amazon orders throughout the trip, and were always delivered promptly! Everything was so great. My only complaint was we ran late on our departure, and had a late checkout, so we waited for a bell hop to help with our luggage. He took a while, and then we missed checking in our luggage for resort to airline check in. Only thing that kinda stunk.
