Disneys All Star Sports Resorts is one of the 4 Value Resorts at WDW. The other 3 value resorts are All Star Music, All Star Movies, and Pop Century.

All Star Sports Resort is one of the "value" Disney resort hotels. It's theme is sports and is decorated with icons representing baseball, basketball, football, surfing, and tennis. Even though it is not as finely appointed as the deluxe WDW resorts, the Disney touch is still there. However, with the large number of rooms this resort can become very crowded so bus service, food service, and even check-in and check-out can require lengthy queues.

The center of the resort, Stadium Hall, is where you'll find the front desk, guest services, the food court facilities (including express check-out), gift shop, arcade and playground.

The two swimming pools add to the atmosphere besides providing a nice place to cool off in the mid-day heat. The Surfs Up Pool is located between the two Surf buildings and the Goofy Pool is located between the two baseball buildings. There is a bar located near the surfs up pool right where the food court is. The food court also offers refillable mugs that you may use the length of your stay.

Does anyone have a map of the resort or know where to find it? Thanks!! We stayed there several years ago and I am having trouble remembering where everything is!!

The All Star resorts are close to AK and down the road from the McDonalds that is also close to AK.

Thanks dbarker! We always like to look it over and see if we want to make any room requests!

Whew, took awhile to find this.
My sister is staying here this weekend and promised me a full report when she gets home. I will write what she says for anyone who is curious.:thumbsup2
I actually can't wait to hear about it. My DH loves sports(ok me too) and I'm throwing around a few ideas for our Anniversary. Depending on what she says, I might give ASsp a try this summer!;)

Alrighty, my sis is back and this is what she had to say about ASsp:
Her DD and DS loved it. She liked it, her DH loved it. They are big basketball fans so they loved the Hoops buildings. She said the food court was great the CM's very nice. The pools were nice, warm and not to crowded, even though there was some cheerleaders still there, she said they practiced out of the way, wasn't really loud and very nice when her DS started running towards them to get to the pool!!;)
She said the best part was that after the past couples years between ASmo and POP, that finally they got a mousekeeper who made towels animals. When they got there, there was a big Mickey Head in the middle of their bed, then when they got back from the park on Sat. the mousekeeper had made up their animals in their window, the kids loved it. She left the mousekeeper a big tip for that and Thanked her for putting a big smile on the kids faces!!:goodvibes
Over all she gives it :thumbsup2

We were there last weekend and loved it!! DIdnt use the pools, but we did use the arcade & food court. Both were great. We had a fuse or something pop and the bathroom area lights were out, it was fixed right away. Would definatly stay there again!

I loved ASsp!!! We were so dissapointed when I booked this trip and found out that it was all sold out. If I could change my reservation from POP to ASsp I would in a heartbeat. This was DH's and DS9's first time to WDW and everything was perfect. I couldn't complain about anything.

thanks for all the great words about ASsp's. i am staying there april 24- the 1st of amy with my girls. i wanted ASmo cause i have some family stay there 4 of my 8 days but nothing aval. i think as long as there is a pool and a clean room me and the girls will be happy.

Hi all!! This will be our first time at ASSports (Been to music, movies and POP before)
We're in a standard room, using disney transportation. What should i request? I think the bottom floor would be best for us since it's just my daughter and I and we're doing a short commando trip. any help would be totally appreciated!!!:thumbsup2

TIA:wizard:

i too requested ground floor since it is me and my girls and the double stroller, we shall see if i get it or not

Hey:goodvibes question for you...we stayed at ASsp in September and loved it too! We are booking POP for this November (just to try out another resort)...what do you like about ASsp better than POP?? Thanks so much!

We had a stroller and the bottom floor. We didnt request it, but it was great being on the bottom.

We loved POP  ...I really liked Movies, but wow, POP's atmosphere was really neat. Loved going to the bar/pool area at night, watching all the people gather there for drinks, or just to swim. Movies was more KIDDIE in my opinion. Although my 4 year old liked MOVIES better, mom liked Pop..lol.

Sports will be ok i guess. With a 4 year old girl, i doubt she'll even care about the sports things. She wants to play soccer this year..so that's how i'm gonna sell it to her:rotfl: .
