Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR MOVIES Resort

Hi guys, we leave in 5 weeks and we just received some papers for ME. That was about all that was in it. Shouldn't we be getting some resort papers or ..something?

Also, we are and have requested the Toy Story buildings. I am very interested to know if requested are often or seldom granted.

Oh, one more thing , I think it was on the Pop thread where I saw a map of the resort with all of the room numbers and buildings. Does ASmovies have any such thing online that I can find?

We requested Toy Story last summer and had no problem getting our request. We even requested bottom floor with connecting room and we got all three request. You will love it! In fact we were planning a trip back this summer but after the stay 4 get 3 free special I was swept up in the excitement and booked CR and all morning I am thinking how much I am going to miss that disney feeling there with the big icons, the food court, and the round island in the food court where you go up to to get your soda, coffee, or hot chocolate and they even have a little sink to rinse you mug out with. Oh yea and I am going to miss the chocolate cake with chocolate icing in the refridgerator section. Your going to have a GREAT time!

Yes very close... I was interested in knowing the room numbers and where abouts they are located. Getting picky I know, but I read it is best to know where the rooms are and the numbers for when you arrive you can request a section by number and it makes it easier for them to locate.

We are booked for a preferred room, but did not give preference for location. Are all preferred rooms good? I would prefer a quiet environment.

Preferred rooms are in Fantasia, Toy Story and 101 Dalmatians. I would say that the pool view rooms in Fantasia would be pretty noisy. So, you might want to request "quiet room" to avoid the pool.

We also have a preferred room as standard rooms were not available and we currently don't have a location request. My DD would like to stay in Love Bug, but it has standard rooms only .

Yeah, I wouldn't mind doing standard rooms too, because I figured they would be away from the croud. No availability for us either. I'll ask for a room away from the pools. Thanks for the suggestion.

I was wondering, if (anywhere, not specifically the ASmo..but easier if it is at the gift shop) they sell DW postcards to send home and if you can mail them at the front desk...if so, should I bring my own stamps??

We were in the Fantasia building #8 and our room #'s, I think, were 8237 & 8239. 3rd floor overlooking the parking lot. Very quiet yet close to everything. I would recommend this location. I will double check the room #'s when I get home. My trip report is there and I'm at work.

Oohhh sounds great! Can't wait to see the pics! I am really hoping for the Toy Story building, and I hope it isn't noisy! The kids LOVE Toy Story. But my runner up is the Fantasia buildings. SO I will make sure I have that area you recommend on hand
