Disney's abandoned works.

When I saw it two years ago, going to .. somewhere. Either MK, the FW or the Poly (I really can't remember), I saw it.
And it's so sad.
It gives me the chills. there's one picture of a single yellow dinghy sitting there.. and it just looks like they just abandoned it one day, not bothered to clean up or anything. Like someone was sitting in the dingy and ran for it.
It just looks so... ghost town ish. It doesn't look like a place that the structure was left up and closed. It looks like everything was left as is. You can apparently still see the ticket prices, etc.

river country was uterly discusting. the pools were always scummy. half the place used the lake water (my parents wouldnt let me go in that half and i dont blame them) it wsa always overcrowded, people constanly go bit by snakes. it was a disaster. when i was 12 my pirate cuise toook me to the remains of rivercountry to find "treasure" and i almost got bit by a snake also. yes it was fun to an extent but pretty dangerous

I COMPLETELY disagree.
River Country was absolutely amazing, and completely represented the "down home Disney Main Streetish" type theme.
And it's DISNEY. The water was clean. There were health codes in place.

I really miss it :[

theres all the rides in disneyworld that i miss. Horizons used 2 be my favorite ride and my whole family hated timekeeper but i dragged them on it =)

Awww, I miss Mr. Toad's so much.
I was so happy when I got to go to DL and go on again :]

And the Alien ride...that was wayyyy too intense.
I went on when I was 8 (and I was a tough little kid, nothing in Disney bothered me) and the entire time I wished I could leave. It gave me intense nightmares, and I still refuse to go on Stitch, since it's the same concept, even if it's a lot watered down.

Funny how they replaced the most hated attraction at Disney (Alien) with a new most hated attraction at Disney.

Oh please. I'm sorry, but the water was CLEAN. It wasn't lake water, it was meant to seem that way. I just don't agree. I was there when I was 8 and I had plenty of fun, no snakes in site. It's not really a lake, it's a clean sand-bottom pool.

Those temporarily abandoned POP Century buildings are now known as "Ghost town" to my family. Just, don't ask.;)

It looks like a way cooler version of the "water mine"
Allie might know what Im talking about, but probably not.

i went on alien wen i was 7. didnt go bak on it til i was 10 an d i loved it then but thats when they changed it. I dont get why they would change it to stitch. all it did was give parents the thought when it was new that it was ok for younger kids but it wasnt and skared them

You might not realize this, but that was an absolutely despised attraction. When it was still open, there were at least 3 threads everyday complaining about how awful it was, and how furious they were about it.

They replaced it with Stitch as a more kid-friendly ride, but people still hate it.

YES I DO!
I went there last summer! yes, river country looks way better than "water mine". WAY! although that wouldn't take much..

They should just scrap Stitch completely.
It didn't work with Alien, it's not working now...
Take that prime space and do something new with it!

Alien had a small folowing. Hated by most loved by few. I get that they changed it but not to a kids thems
Yeah, it's not a thrill ride now. Stitch just bounces around and breathes disgusting stuff in your face, it's not the same. It uses the same kinds of technologies but it's not nearly as scary.

Of course, every ride has some people who love it.
