Disneys 50th, wasn't it also CAs 5th Anniversary?

I don't remember hearing any mention of it at Disneyland/CA or on TV or radio ads. We were there in June/July 05, Dec 05 and June/July 06 all during the 50th Anniversary. CA was opened in 2001 right?

Could be. But I bet they would only wait until the DCA's 10 to do something fun. They probably didnt want the responsibility of 2 parks sharing a grand event. Especially when one has been around for over 50 years now!

I read somewhere that they didn't celebrate it as it'd detract from Disneyland's 50th. They planning on celebrating the 10th big style - when the changes have been made. I managed to get hold of some of the LE 5th Anniversary DCA pins they were selling this past summer though so it didn't go totally unmissed.
