i just saw a tweet from WDW Today about a Fix It Felix game at DisneyQuest in Disney Springs...I thought it had been scheduled for the chopping block and was supposed to close Jan 1? Is it still going? We always get a kick out of it and hit it if we had time.

I think they sold annual passes to Disney Quest till like June of last year. So I guess it'll close sometime around then.

DQ closing has been pushed (reportedly) until sometime in 2017. Reportedly, the deal with the NBA fell apart.

It was supposed to close and become some kind of NBA extravaganza, but that fell through. I think the long-term intention of Disney is still to eventually close it and lease the space to a third party, but there's no indication how long it might be before that happens.

The Fix-It Felix games are the same arcade cabinets as seen in the movie. They are like Donkey Kong style, where you have to jump up the building fixing the broken windows while Ralph throws debris at you. It's pretty fun and cool that they actually made them.

Does the water park fun and more option include DisneyQuest?

It does...but when they announced closure for this year, supposedly it was no longer included. I have heard though that while it is not explicitly stated, it still works for it. Your mileage may vary on that though.

Yes, it is included until they close, even though it is not listed. We had 10 day water park fun and more tickets just a few weeks ago and we used seven of our "plus" visits at Disney Quest since it was mostly too cold for the water parks and DQ is my son's idea of heaven. He's 12. Lol. We double checked with Guest Relations before we bought them and they confirmed that we would be able to do that, despite that Disney Quest was not listed.

I've heard conflicting things (from CMs) as to whether my newly minted Platinum Plus Pass Annual Pass will let me into Quest, while Quest is still open. My old PAP included Quest, of course.

Anyone able to report first hand experience?

I have no firsthand experience - but it's stated explicitly in the entitlements documentation available to ticketing CMs that the Platinum Plus pass does not include entrance to DisneyQuest.

Thanks. I was afraid of that -- but thought perhaps since the add-on tickets seemed to be saved from this fate for while, that PP-AP would be too.

Darn - wish I would've known. We had torrential rains for half a day of our trip. Would've preferred to spend time there...altho, altho when we finally did make it to the park, the crowds levels were low, the sun came out and it was 73 degrees - no commando at MK, just a perfect Disney day!
