So...got the Free Dining, but had to buy Waterpark and More (don't need hoppers). We were already going to go to a waterpark one day, so this was not a big extra expense. We were planning on going to Downtown Disney on arrival day for dinner and "shopping". Since we have some extra "fun" tickets now we hadn't planned on, do you think it is worth it to go to Disney Quest since it's now "free"? About us: 7 & 4 yo boys who already both play XBox (mostly LEGO games). Husband used to design video games, but he's not a huge gamer and may be snobby about outdated games :)

I'm thinking it might be worth it to just stop in? I've heard it's pretty outdated and kind of lame, but I don't know that boys that age will care? It's hard finding reliable info on DisneyQuest, so any help is greatly appreciated! I wouldn't mind dropping all the boys off there and I can do a little shopping after dinner?

It is definatley worth it. My kids were so excited when they heard I had to add the water parks and more because they live DQ. Last year we had two rooms and got 4 vouchers so the kids went with dad. They were there 6 hours and mad because they kicked them out at closing, they would have stayed longer. And yes, me and DD went shopping:thumbsup2

Water Parks options also include Mini-Golf (start before 4pm) and Oak Trail 9-hole golf. Two water parks in one day uses 2 WP entries. Same for Mini-Golf. If you're in Epcot or DHS, a mid-afternoon stop at Fantasia Mini-Golf might be a fun diversion.

We always get two free passes for DQ with the vacation package we buy. Our two teen DD's go in by themselves for 3 hours while we get adult time and go shopping. I've been before and there are some fun things (Pirates virtual game, build your own coaster virtual Space Mountain) but they feel that 3 hours is more than enough. I would suggest 11:30am when it opens as it will be less busy then and they can get on more rides. A word of caution, the first time we went our youngest wasn't tall enough to do the build your own coaster virtual Space Mountain or the Buzz Lightyear ride, so you may want to check height requirements so no one is disappointed. I'd try it once:-)

With the free dining package you already get one free admission to Disneyquest and one free minigolf (before 4) anyway. We bought hoppers, since we always hop. We don't do water parks at all. Just something to think about.
Disneyquest my kids used to LOVE. The virtual reality things make me kind of sick to my stomach though (the Aladdin one left me and DH queasy for a couple hours, needing a Sprite!). It's kind of cool and retro, worth a trip at least one time. I miss how it used to have the Genie from Aladdin as you came in through the elevators.
