DisneyQuest or Typhoon Lagoon on Thanksgiving Day?

One week from today, we'll be at WDW. WAHOO! :woohoo:

I've planned for us to spend the day at TL on Monday (11/20) and DQ on Thanksgiving. I'm now thinking about switching those two days around because according to the latest accuweather forecast, it's actually going to be a bit warmer on Thursday (77 and sunny compared with 75 and partly sunny on Monday). I'll keep an eye on the weather, though, because I know it's still a little far off.

My question is this...does anyone have any experience with going to either of these places on Thanksgiving Day? I'm really leaning towards switching to TL on Thanksgiving, but don't want to if it means lot more crowds. Anyone ever go to DQ on Thanksgiving? If so, any comments on the crowd level that day? Two years ago we went to MK on Thanksgiving and I vowed never to do it again so this time around, I'm looking for alternatives.

As always, your help is appreciated!!

I wouldn't waste my money on Disney Quest. My DH and DS12 went the evening of 11/4. They were done with it in 3 hours and both gave it a "thumbs down". Many things were in disrepair. :sad2:

With the price that they charge, it's ridiculous that so much would be broken down! I was pretty neutral on the idea, but figured my DH and DS11 would enjoy it. I'm definitely going to rethink my plans. Thanks for the info!

We've been at TL on Thanksgiving Day and loved it. It was a hot day and we went to AK in the morning, then went to TL. It was not very crowded and we spent the afternoon in lawn chairs watching the kids swim. It was funny to call family and wish them a Happy T-giving from the lagoon, pina colada in hand - and listen to the hustle/bustle of getting the big meal together (which is usually my task). We made ADR for the House of Blues that night. Not your traditional Thanksgiving, but one of the best! :beach:

I went to Disney Quest once. and if i had a free admition to it I would go again. which i do!

They do have some cool things there. But the problem with it in my oppinion is that everything is included. I think it should have stayed at the price per thing, because a big problem is at the arcade games, People whill just sit on those machines for hours and not let anybody have a chance. theres no regulation to it. I do have to admit that the Pirates of the carebean was awsome, but I found the jungle cruise to be week. But i guess thats because i was in a boat with a family i didn't know who had problems comunicating. :rotfl2:

If you come to TL, say hello to me (Mike) at the gate. I'm scheduled to work.

Definitely TL. I wouldn't waste my money at DQ. We have been there twice and both because we had the package deal that included the water parks and DQ. TL is awesome.

My vote is for TL, if the weather's good. My DH and DS really thought DQ was useless, crowded, not fun at all. They stayed for 2-3 hours, tried to play a few things, and got disgusted and left.

I, personally think DisneyQuest is worth it for the CyberSpace Mountain. Me, being 14 last year, and my friend, who was also 14, did that thing numerous times. Hilarious results come from wearing flip-flops. I mean hilarious.
