My son (who will be eight when we go to WDW next year) heard about the Sid's build-your-own-toy thing at Disneyquest and is full of questions I can't answer. This sounds like the kind of activity my son would very much enjoy, but can anyone give me an idea of what is really involved, what the options are, and how much $$$ it'll set me back?

Thanks!

You can play with the toy maker all you want for free. Push the green button off to the side if the toy maker stops working because it ran out of time.

There is a handle that swings from side to side with a button on top. You move the handle to "look around" the "toy shop" with body parts scattered around. You press the button to pick up a body part, starting with the torso which you place on the "hangman's rope" in the middle of the screen.

You pay only if you want to take the completed toy home with you. I forget the price.

The toy includes one body (torso), one head, and four limbs. If you are not careful you could end up with three arms and one leg, or two left legs, etc.

Let me make sure I'm understanding this correctly. The toymaker is a computer station, but if you want to take the toy home they assemble one like the one you made on the computer. Have I got this right?

Thanks!

Thats pretty much it. kids love this activity and there is somtimes a wait for a free station but its worth it if your kid is into it. Have fun!!!
