Disneypoor Family Finds "Magic" on 3/17/07 Eastern

Thank you for the report. I can't wait to get back on the ship!

I'm really enjoying your report:thumbsup2 All of the naked people are cracking me up and the mental pictures that keep flashing in my mind are scary:scared1:

We also did an excursion to Orient Beach with RCCL. My DH's take on it, "today our son learned that all men aren't created equal." We were fortunate not to see to much but what we did see all belonged to older men. The images are scary!

Jen--I have tried to upload pictures just like you explained it to me, but I just can't get it to work. Where are you from? Could you come over to my house and help me?:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Well, I'm in Tampa..but I've never been to Kansas before!!! ;)

Its too bad it doesn't work, but your TR is great even without any pics. I'm really enjoing getting both yours & RV's perspective on that cruise (especially since I was on the Wonder at the same time, so it was almost like I was there too!:rolleyes1 ) Ha!:rotfl2:

Love reading your report! I had the best of intentions to get one done too and even brought a notebook to take notes in. However, vacation kind of got in the way.

Thursday, March 22nd--a day at sea:sick:

We all slept in a little bit today. The seas were REALLY rough today, and I woke up not feeling well. This was by far the worst that I had felt throughout the trip. I can't remember how high the waves were, but I do know that I couldn't even look towards the water without feeling ill.:sad2:

I tried to rest for a little while, but it really wasn't helping. DH and kids went and found their own stuff to do for a while so that I could try to get to feeling better. I showered, and although I was sortof sick, I decided to do some more laundry. Pathetic, I know.;) The laundry room on deck 2 was EXTREMELY hot, and I felt like throwing up the second I got in there! I started my laundry and then headed back to the room to try to recover from my own personal summer.:rotfl:

Basically, all I did for the entire morning was lay around and try to talk myself into not feeling whatever it was that I was feeling. I was sortof grumpy too:rolleyes1, and I think DH decided to stay away from me so he wouldn't have to throw me overboard. To be honest, I felt so lousy that I didn't even bother to ask what DH and the kids did on that morning.:confused3

Finally, at around 1:00 I decided to go to a DVC meeting. I made an appointment for DH and I to visit with a lady about becoming DVC members at 4:30. Should I tell DH, or just surprise him?:lmao:

I also decided that a cure for any ailment is shopping, so I hit the stores on the ship. Although I don't really think the stores have all that much to choose from, I did manage to spend a couple hundred dollars in about fifteen minutes.:scared1: I was feeling better though.:upsidedow I bought shirts, pins, a lithogram (which I got signed by the captain), a 2007 photo album, and a scrapbooking kit which will probably just go in the drawer with the kit from 2006 that I haven't even begun working on yet.:scared: Wow! It's amazing what a little shopping can do for a woman!

At 2:30, DH and I decided to go see "Wild Hogs". We had planned on doing this since we first boarded the ship, and I knew DH would be very disappointed if I didn't go with him. As it turned out, I was glad I did! It was very funny, and I actually started feeling a whole lot better after the movie. I guess laughter makes a woman feel even better than shopping.:goodvibes

Did I mention that DH despises anything that even sortof resembles a timeshare speech? Well, I had to break it to him that "we", not "I", had an appointment at 4:30 to meet with a lady about becoming DVC members. Boy, he loved that. He's just not into that sort of thing, and I knew it before we went. But, I thought maybe just this one time he'd see the benefit. Wrong! I think the lady that we met with was ready to get rid of us. She didn't pressure us at all, and I think she was rather relieved when DH couldn't ask her any more questions.:rotfl2: Maybe next time.

After our grueling meeting with a DVC rep (and I mean grueling for myself and the DVC rep:rolleyes: ), we decided to go to the room and order room service. I ran into the ship's doctor on the elevator on the way back, and he asked me how my sea legs were doing. I told him that as long as I didn't look at or think about the water I thought I was going to be okay. Apparently there were a lot of people who were much worse off than I was according to the doctor. Although I'd say this hadn't been a very good day for me, I do have to admit that it could have been much worse.

We relaxed in the room for a little while after eating some snacks from room service and just waited around for the show. The show for tonight was Disney Dreams. I really liked that one! We were in the front row again, and things are just SO amazing when you see them that close! I'd highly recommend getting to the shows early enough to sit towards the front. During one of the shows, one of the characters even came down and sortof sang directly to DD. She didn't quite know what to do, but I thought it was a magical moment.:cloud9:

Dinner tonight was at Animator's Palate. I don't recall what I had for dinner that night because I was still trying to fight off being seasick. However, I'm sure I ate. I don't turn down good food that easily.

We headed back to our stateroom and found our towel animal for the evening--a lobster. I started thinking about all of the packing that I'd have to do tomorrow night and began to get a little sad that our trip was soon going to be coming to an end. However, tomorrow was Castaway Cay, and that was my favorite part of Disney cruises! I couldn't wait to see that place again, and I was also excited thinking about the fact that I'd get to go there twice in one cruise for our 2008 cruise! It just doesn't get any better than that.:)

It started storming outside and rained for most of the night, but we all fell sound asleep in anticipation of the day ahead of us.

Next Installment: Can I move to Castaway Cay?

At 2:30, DH and I decided to go see "Wild Hogs".

Well whatdoyaknow... we were in that movie too! I'm not longer surprised about all of these similarities! You were obviously stalking me! ;)

That Thursday was awful movement-wise. Even I didn't handle it all that well, and it really doesn't bother me all that much. We were at Palo that evening and I felt like our table was going to just topple right over.

Okay, RV! I'm pretty sure now that you were stalking me! You don't need me to post pictures, do you? You already know perfectly well what I look like!:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: This really is too weird! Too bad I can't figure out the whole picture thing.:confused3 I'm watching for pictures on your trip report because SURELY I saw either you or your DW somewhere on the ship.

And yes, the ocean was very rough that day. I seriously couldn't even look towards the windows or the water without feeling sick. I did take Bonine and I think it helped some, but I wasn't expecting it to be quite that rough. On our first cruise, I don't even think we saw a ripple in the water.:goodvibes

Okay, here we go... once and for all... do I look familiar? :confused3

I honestly don't think I saw you, but I sure don't know how we couldn't have crossed paths at some point.:confused3 I'm going to try to post another picture later. Maybe you saw us?

Here, try this.... do you see yourself in this picture? :rotfl2:

Or this one:

Look at me posting all of my pictures on your trip report... what's up with that? :confused3 ;)

Thanks for posting your pictures on my TR!;) Do you have some great ones of CC that you could put on for me tomorrow?:lmao:

I don't see myself in either of those pictures, but in the bottom picture, there is a little girl in the water, and I think it's my DD. She played and played in the sand and waves and had a blast. We could not have been that far from each other. Did you see naked people too?:rotfl2:

Okay, keep posting your pictures! We've got to be in one of them! I'm going to go back through my pictures now and see if I see you in any of them.:rotfl:

Okay--I think I might have the picture thing working. It's last years DCL trip, but I already had it on my computer. For those of you who are picture experts, how in the world can I view the pictures before I upload them? I have over 200, and they are all teeny tiny when I try to browse them from photobucket. Wish me luck! Here goes:

Yayyyyy! Pictures!!! If you want to see your images before you upload them to Photobucket, after you select the BROWSE button click on the right-hand icon to change from LIST to THUMBNAIL view of your pictures. Then you will know which pictures to upload....

Can't wait to see the rest of your pictures!:thumbsup2

Okay, here's some pics:

The crazies of Table #63. Susan (DisneyPoor) is the blonde in the center. I'm behind her (with the glasses). You can figure out who the naughty boys are, oh wait a minute I think they all are!! (Good thing men don't read this!)

The best server on the Magic, otherwise known as Gabor. The title of the pic could be "never let your DD12 use the camera".

The best assistant server on the Magic, Evan, or Rambo, as he likes to call himself.

Charlene

Thanks, Stacie! Our group picture didn't turn out very good. It was real dark and cut off part of our group. Your picture is great! Thanks for posting it. I added some pictures tonight. I'm going to work on adding more pictures tomorrow. I think I need to get off of this thing for tonight.:rolleyes1

By the way, how could I get a copy of your group picture?

Talk to you soon!

Susan
