Hi All,

Just wondering, for those of you who have had a Disney Honeymoon; On your honeymoon, did you make any effort to talk with other people or interact with other people on a level above just saying "hello" or asking for help, or were you pretty much spending it 24-7 with just you and your spouse and no one else?

Just wondering. We're having a 12 day honeymoon at Disneyworld from Dec 31 to Jan 11.

Thanks,

Our Honeymoon was Oct 4-11, 2006. I wouldn't say that we were completely withdrawn, but we really didn't go out of our way to strike up a conversation with anyone. Usually those we did talk to asked us about our wedding and honeymoon. (We always wore the buttons and had the bride and groom hats. I also wore a Mickey and Minnie in their wedding attire shirt that I bought off of disney.com)

You will have a lot of people congratulate you on your nuptials. It's quite nice actually :rotfl: So be prepared and have fun with it! Besides you only get to do your honeymoon in Disney once, right? So go all out...Oh, and congratulations by the way!

DH keep to ourselves normally, and we did the same on our honeymoon. We answered questions about the wedding for anyone who asked (and there were a lot!).

DH really doesn't like to draw attention to himself, whereas I am a social butterfly and often strike up conversations with strangers. After the wedding he didn't want to wear the hats or the buttons and I was fine with that. Our server at Whispering Canyon for our day-after brunch found out and we got called up for a dancing and kissing contest (we won :cool1: ) and DH was sufficiently embarrassed. If I was talking to someone and it came up I'd tell them about the wedding. I do that even now when we go, if it comes up, I'll tell them we were married there, and most people ask questions and like to talk about it. I'd say we were definitely more "private" as DH didn't even want to tell anyone on our honeymoon cruise that it was our honeymoon because he was afraid of being the center of attention. When I suggested entering the "newlywed game" on the cruise he was like "Are you insane? No no and no!" :rotfl: I did get him to wear the "Just Married" flip-flops my sister gave us, though no one noticed!

DH and I are both very social so if anyone spoke with us we were more than happy to have conversations.

My Dh and I spoke to anyone that would ask since we were wearing our pins and hats. Now when we left Disney to go on the second part of our honeymoon in St. Lucia we pretty much kept to ourselves
