Just got engaged yesterday :lovestruc and have already starting looking into Disneymoons!

What all are you planning? Any neat, romantic packages for just couples?

Anyone to help would be great!

Congrats on your engagement!! I'm not sure if Disney has "packages" for honeymooners, but I do know that they have suggestions for different products and services to take advantage of somewhere on the Disney weddings/honeymoons page.

Personally, I believe a big determination of what to do during a honeymoon depends on how often you've been to Disney in the past. My DF has never been (since he can remember) and I have been a few times when I was in elementary school and once in high school (not often in other words). So DF and I are going to be really vanilla when it comes to our honeymoon because everything will be so new to us and special. Plus, I began looking at different things to buy (like horseback riding, golfing, massages), but then I figured that avoiding the parks/pools/resorts and buying all these extras would be like going to a sushi bar and ordering chicken.

However, if you've been to disney before with your DF then it may be worth getting something extra that you had always thought about doing.

So, I will only be adding small special things in probably spur of the moment.. like ordering a special room service for two or something.

In conclusion, so I'm not just rattling off... My one huge reccomendation would be staying at a Disney Resort. Personally, I like the better resorts (doesn't everyone), but other brides say its not worth the extra money compared to pop resort or whatnot. Disney resorts are awesome.

My DF and I were going to get married in Disney, but a lot of our family told us that they would not come (it was a flat out no :sad1:). So we decided to have our wedding at home and do a honeymoon in Disney. I think my parents are going to surprise us with the details (where we're staying, dinner reservations, etc.) and I'm really excited about it :woohoo:

However! I don't trust them completely ;), so I'll probably plan some things for myself. I've looked at things your can get delivered to the room for the two of you and spa treatments, etc. I'm pretty intrigued. They have things you can purchase for different celebrations and such. This link goes to all of their "True Love" celebration offerings. Some cross over with other celebrations. Here ya go! :goodvibes

Congratulations on your engagement!

I think the other posters are right in that it depends on your history with visiting the Disney parks.

A good place to start is the Disney website, as previously mentioned, as well as the Disney Honeymoon Registry. DH2B and I have been living together for a verrrrrrry long time, so we opted to register for things we'd like for our honeymoon, rather than the tradition blender, toaster, towels, etc.

I would recommend to choose the "Browse All Categories", rather than getting pigeon-holed into one type ("Relaxing", "Adventurous", etc.)

We chose things like Sea Raycers, Dining with an Imagineer, Carriage Ride, money for the Food & Wine festival, Mickey ears, holiday ornaments. What's so great about it is that all of the money contributed goes onto a Disney gift card. So if you're unable to secure the carriage ride reservation you wanted, or if you don't find a holiday ornament that you love, you can use the money for whatever you want at the parks & hotels. :goodvibes
