Disneymoon planning Help!

Okay fellow brides and grooms!!!!! HELP!! I am about 6.5 months away from the wedding!! EVERYTHING is planned and we have our final budget .............the problem is, now I am trying to plan the honeymoon!! And I am clueless! I have been to the world 14 times, DF has been about 3.

I am wanting to get a plan so when the 6 month mark comes I can get my ADR's.

So, help me!!

Day 1 (after the wedding) - Couples massage at GF, downtown disney, then dinner at an Epcot restaurant......but where?

Day 2 - MK, any ideas to make it special?

Day 3 - Epcot (Future World)

Day 4 - AK, PI at night

Day 5 - MGM

Day 6 - Epcot (World Showcase)

Day 7 - MK

Day 8 - go home

I am wanting to make each day unique somehow, but I am clueless as to how. Any ideas for ADR's or things that we may miss by just going and doing the "norm" at the parks?

We are arriving in Disney 3/18 for our Disneymoon I know it's going to be crowded and it is my soon to be husbands first time at Disney. I am just not sure where to go first?

Even though i started this thread, i would say definately start at Magic Kingdom, it is the hub of everything Disney and will begin creating that magical feeling for your trip. The morning of your MK visit, try to dine at Chef Mickey's. It is at the Contemporary, so it is on the monorail system. What better way to kick off your disneymoon that with the characters?

Our Disneymoon is Dec. 23-30. I know it will be super crowded but going into it knowing ahead of time will help. My dh has never been to disney. I've been fortunate to have had many, many trips to WDW but I can't help but be even more excited and anxious about this one. I've been obsessively planning since Feb. Here are my plans so far, hopefully some of you can critque them and maybe they will even help someone else with planning!

Saturday Dec. 23:
Arrive at BWV early afternoon
Candlelight Processional at 8:15pm with dinner at Alfredo's at 6pm
Illuminations

Sunday Dec. 24:
Breakfast in villa
MGM at opening
Lunch at Backlot Express (or other counter service)
Rest/nap at BWV after lunch
Artist Point at 6pm for dinner
Maybe see Electrical Water Parade

Monday Dec. 25
Breakfast in villa
A.K. at opening
Lunch at Tusker House
Rest/nap after lunch
Hoop Dee Doo at 5:00pm
Head back to Boardwalk and watch Illuminations from there

Tuesday Dec. 26
Breakfast in villa
M.K. at opening
Lunch at Columbia Harbour House (trip tradition)
Rest/nap after lunch
Spirit of Aloha Polynesian Luau at 5:15pm
Tour Monorail Resorts

Wednesday Dec. 27 (DH's b'day)
Breakfast in villa then check out/store luggage
Epcot at opening
Marrakesh for early Lunch
Move over to Contemporary Atrium Club after lunch
Either Wishes Fireworks Cruise or Sleigh Ride. I can't book either until 90 days out and I'm afraid we won't get the Wishes cruise, so I have the sleigh ride as a back up plan. Maybe this way I'll be covered! If we do the Wishes cruise, we will have private dining arrange dinner on the boat. If we do the sleigh ride, we'll do it first (I'm thinking 5:30pm) and then have dinner at Citrico's. I have an ADR at Citrico's for 7pm just in case.

Thursday Dec. 28
Non Park day
Sleep in
Breakfast in Atrium Lounge
Shop/visit Downtown Disney or if the weather isn't too chilly, rent water mice. We may even venture off site to Daytona.
No plans for lunch or dinner, but I'm thinking maybe a Downtown Disney restaurant for one.

Friday Dec. 29
Breakfast in Atrium Lounge
Epcot at opening
Counter Service in Epcot for lunch
Rest/nap at resort after lunch
Dinner at Concourse Steakhouse at 7pm
Watch Wishes from balcony (if we get M.K. view), or Atrium Lounge

Saturday Dec. 30
Breakfast in Atrium Lounge
Check out and head back home.


I've tried to plan enough down time that we won't feel too tired. I want us to be able to relax and enjoy the trip while still feeling like we haven't missed too much. I know we can't do it all, but I'm hoping to see/do what's important to us. I've also tried to plan something special (meal or show) for most nights. I think it will be a nice ending to each day.

PrincessShanShan - that is quite an intricate and well planned itinerary. THank you for some ideas and for inspiring me to plan that well. Naps are always a good thing. For us, this will be our first time as a couple in Disney without our daughter. I can't wait. don't get me wrong, we enjoy spending time with her in the parks, but now we can do whatever WE want and not worry about whether our 10 year old will want to do it or be too afraid of it (ie - Tower of Terror).

We'll be in Disney from 12/7 - 12/16 and then our honeymoon in Aruba from 12/16 - 12/23. We will then be back in Kissimmee at my fiance's parents house just outside the Disney main gate from 12/23 - 12/28. We will be in the parks at least 2 of those last few days. maybe we'll bump into each other. Have your ears on. We will.
