Disneymoon 09...oh the plannnning has begun!!! 11/29, Almost alll Packed!!!!

Yeah for packing time! As for in laws- I believe it's important to stand your ground from the beginning. If you think it's bad now just wait until you throw kids in the loop. It's hard for some to give up control when they are used to having it. And our generation is different from grandmas. It's perfectly fine and perfectly normal to wear something other than white.

Oh yes, I am learning to stand my ground, I just wish I would have started earlier. I dread (well from this view) kids, ours will be the only grandchild for my in-laws (for health reasons we can only have one child, and BIL is gay so we are almost 100% that he will not have children, could happen i guess?!) so im sure they will be super involved. again, not a bad thing, but I dont know if i can handle MIL all up in my business all the time haha.

I love my black and white dress. It is fun and has personality as opposed to a plain ivory dress that everyone wears.

:banana:11 days!!

I believe tomorrow I can check us in online and I think I will as I need to request a fridge for medical reasons, so hopefully checking in early gives me a good chance of getting one (hows that logic haha!)

As I have been packing things the last few days I realized that I was lacking nice clothes. I work all summer at an ice cream stand and really didnt buy anything because i knew it would be ruined. So i pretty much have t-shirts from either high school or ones our class made in dental hygiene school. Not the greatest wardrobe. So i went to Macys on tuesday and bought 2 tommy hilfiger shirts for $16, then bought a shirt at kohls for $6 that I can wear to dinner.

Crisis averted. Nope. I then was looking at my suitcase, and all the summer clothes I had packed away, and realized that I don't have one pair of shorts to take. I havent purchased a pair of jean shorts in years, I typically wear the "sweat pant" style shorts in the summer, and really dont have any in neutral colors. So today my mission was to find shorts. Well I scoured our whole mall (not much of a challenge) and only found shorts at ONE store. PacSun. I was able to find 2 paris of jean shorts, 1 pair of khaki shorts, and 2 shirts (not sure that i am taking the shirts). All of this for only $18!! The shorts were $2.50 a pair, and the shirts were $5. :yay: That's my kind of shopping!

I also ordered an 8gig memory card for the camera, DFi decided not to take his laptop so i went with a bigger card. I told DF he will have to tone it down with pics since we wont have anywhere to dump them during the trip! He said he thinks he can.:confused3

I had to order sunscreen off the internet too. Our walmart has sunscreen, but I really like the Bullfrog brand, and I am super sensitive to the sun, so i want to stick to what I know works. Had to buy a 2 pack for $20 but thats ok, I can always use it next summer. I bought a book to read on the plane as well. I have really gotten into the "cadogen house vampire novels" by Chole Neill. I really really really never read these kind of books, but with my intense love of "twilight" and "True Blood" (along with charlene harris's books) I guess i have found a new genre. I laugh and tell people I had to find something to read because it feels like I have already read the entire library in my town! :rotfl2:

My packing seems pretty much done, for now, even though I know at the last minute I will be freaking out double checking everything. I did have to explain to DF today that he needed to take anything he needed right away in his carry on because we wouldnt have our luggage right away. He didnt get why, and I explained that ME would take it and it would be a little bit of a wait before we got it. He still seems confused lol.:lmao:

That's all for now! Hopefully this weekend will bring lots of good things: A win for the Buckeyes! (GOOO BUCKS!), a win for my high school football team in the regional finals (GO BULLDOGS!), a day at work tomorrow that I dont want to scratch my eyes out ( I am really tempted to be a terrible worker and call off, man I hate the houseman job at the hotel!), a great semi-relaxing weekend before the holidays kick off and our trip scrambling begins! Have a great weekend everyone! :goodvibes

Wow I'm impressed with your mad shopping skills. What great prices! I guess because it's still pretty warm here you just don't see stuff marked down that low. I've even seen new shorts and stuff already put out for the next season.

thanks. I live to shop! Now if my wallet only agreed we would be in business!:rotfl2: I was starting to get really worried I wouldnt be able to find any shorts, the 5 stores I had been to didnt have any, at all, not even on the sale racks. Thankfully I really like the clothes at Pacsun because they were my only option, and who can turn down all that for under $20?!

Seriously great shopping finds. I love shopping for summer clothes this time of year because they are cheap, cheap, cheap. And Kohls - well say no more.....all of the clothes I am pictured in in my TR are from last years summer markdowns. Seriously, I got most of the shorts I'm wearing for like $3.50. Hah! :rotfl:

So glad you are approaching the final countdown! :woohoo:

Go Buckeyes and Bulldogs! :cheer2:

Great job on the shopping front! Can't beat those prices.
Can you believe how close you are to leaving?!?

I love to shop! Kohls is hit or miss for me, sometimes i feel the juniors dept is too young for me, and the misses dept is too old. Yet, sometimes I find some great deals! Thats where I got my beloved Keurig  The Buckeyes won, however I believe the Bulldogs lost their game tonite, but it was aganist a very good team, a team who decided to drop down a division just so they could go to state (IMO, cheaters)

Great job on the shopping front! Can't beat those prices.

Thanks! I went back to the mall tonite with my mom and dad and my mom was able to find quite a bit at Macys, and my dad found some really nice shoes I think he is going to wear for the wedding!

I cannot believe it! I will not believe it until we are on the plane, because we have a nasty habit of things falling apart while planning a trip, however, I am bound and determined that we are going, come hell or high water!:lmao:

So how many more days now???????? I think you have entered the final countdown!!!!! :cool1:

Ladies and Gentleman, we are officially at 8 days!

So since I have been talking about all the shopping I have done recently, I thought I should post a few pictures of my finds! Here are the shirts from macys, the shorts, and my bathing suit!

Here is a pic of a sweatshirt I purchased last year, and I have no idea why all of a sudden half of my disney shirts are tinkerbell, and she is def. not my favorite character. Oh well, when its on sale, I buy! :lmao:

I went from not having very many things to take, to possibly having too many! I'm going to have to edit my choices and only take what I really like. I would still like to do laundry while we are there. The weather has been in the high 70's lately, so hopefully it stays that way! I would really like to swim, but most of all, I dont want to roast, or freeze!

My DFi asked me the other night if we had any ADR's for our last night, and I reminded him that we didnt because we used 2TS for Cali Grill. Well he all of a sudden decided that he wanted to eat TS on our last night. :headache: I informed him that I had woken up at 545 am at exactly 90 days out (which was my birthday haha) to make our ADR's and he had very little chance of getting something only 2 weeks out. Well I said I would try but didn't make any promises.

Before work I scoured the online ADR system looking for something, anything for dinner. No dice. So i went and tried Sanna first. I really wanted an ADR here to begin with, but never made one at 90 days out because DFi never expressed interest. So I had tried several times and never could get one to work with our other ADR's or park days. Finally, I checked for lunch, with little hope. And ta-da! 1:40pm on Dec 7th! WOOHOO!!! So I double checked with DFi that lunch would be ok, I double checked out park schedule, and this works out perfectly! SOOO EXCITED! I reallly wanted this ADR and after hearing great things from other TR's, I am so glad we got it!

I went back to the mall with my mom and dad saturday night, they needed to do some trip shopping, and I just wanted to tag along. As previously posted, my mom found some great deals at Macys, and my Dad found some shoes for the wedding. We also went back to PacSun after my mom heard about the great deals I got. She purchased me another shirt, and my DFi some shorts for the trip. I purchased my DFi 2 shirts, a T, and new polo. All 4 purchases came in under $15! I made sure I told everyone about their deals, personally I have not bought something that was not on sale in years! I love a good bargin!

I cannot believe how close we are to leaving! I feel like we have so much to do! I really need to get some OTC meds to take (advil, and such), and finish getting everything else ready. I have to work 7-11am the day before we leave, I was really hoping to have it off to get the dog to the boarder and last minute errands done, but oh well. I also purchased a travel cooler for my meds, I have one med that needs to be refridgerated and I didnt think any ice pack would last as long as we will need it to. I like it though because I can back all my meds in one place and make it easier on myself when I go thru security.

I checked us in online! I also requested a refridgerator and will show them my note from the doctor and hopefully that will be all they need to waive the fee. I might give the hotel a call to let them know before I get there.

Thanks to everyone for following along so far! Up next, will I ever get everything done??

So I've been thinking.....

Dangerous Territory!

But I have been thinking about MVMCP. Yes, I am aware I have been very adament aganist it. Yes, I told my mother NOT to purchase us tickets. Yes, I am crazy. BUT, I am once again, thinking about it. I really don't want to leave feeling like we missed out. Although, I realize you cannot do everything in one trip, and this would give us a wonderful excuse to return at christmas time again. :rolleyes1

So here's what I am thinking. We will be shopping in DTD all morning/afternoon with my parents (no word on what his parents will be doing), and I feel as though we will no be able to get into a park until friday. This irritates me. It turns our 7.5 day trip into a 5.5 day trip. Thats not a lot of time to get the parks done in. So I am thinking that if we are really feeling like heading out, we will purchase tickets to the party the day of. I am assuming this is ok to do lol. We would attend the Dec 3rd party. I am positive we will not attend the party. But I am at least leaving the option on the table.

Here is my official determination. I really need to stop reading trip reports. :lmao: All this talk of how fun the party is and how non-existant the wait times are is clouding my better judgement. So heres hoping that on our MK days we get to see everything we wanted, ride what we wanted, and have a grand time, because if not, I am really going to kick myself for not going to the party!:headache:

:banana:By the way, this time next week, we will be in WDW!!!

I went to the Christmas party last year and it is true - the lines for rides are non-existent. Thats because everyone is watching the parade, fireworks, or attending the Christmas shows. I don't think you'll be disappointed and if this adds more park time, I saw "go for it"!

It is possible for the party to sell out, so you may want to purcase them the day before and pick them up at will call.

Yay, only one week!!!!!

And - will your park tickets cover the extra day? In the end, it's up to you, but when I went, I really liked it!

The non-existant ride lines are really what is swaying my decision. We'll see I guess! I still think it is a lot of money, but if it is what everyone says, probably worth it.

We have 6 day park hoppers now, and I think we may upgrade them to 7 or 8 day tickets when we get there. if thats possible lol
