Disneyland's Christmas Processional or Epcots?

And please don't tell me that DL's is "because it is the original" or Epcot's because it's the "new and improved." Other valid reasons for or against will be greatly appreciated!

Are you asking a comparison of candlelight pocessional between DL vs WDW or are you asking the old candlelight pocessional at DL vs the current at WDW?

I do not belive that candlelight pocessional is available at DL. Can someone verify?

Yes it is available at DL on the first weekend of Dec (ie this Sat and Sun). However it is much different then it is at Epcot. DL is heald on Main Street with VERY LIMITED seating. If you want a seat you better be willing to fork over $40 per person for a dinner package. Marie Osmond is the narrator this year.

Having never seen DL in person I can not offer an opinion on which is better.

Yes before Snow White, it was held at the Fantasyland Theatre. But now it is back on Main Street, where it was originally held.

I haven't seen it at Epcot but, I have seen it at Disneyland on both Main Street and in the Fantasyland Theater... So, That can offer a bit of comparison with Epcot. I enjoyed it in the Fantasylad THeater but, it just can not compared to Main Street. The backdrop of the train station with all the choir members is absolutely stunning. The lights go out on Main Street and slowly, you hear the voices coming down Main Street. It's an amazing feeling of being in anytown USA and brings a much more humble, sentimental feeling that can not be duplicated in a theater.

I may be in the minority but I did not enjoy this show at EPCOT last year. I ordered the package so that I could be guaranteed a seat, but it was still very chaotic when getting people into the theater, long waits and rude people. We were seated second row very stage left but that meant that there was a good portion of the show we couldn't see. I realize that hearing is the main focus here anyway but I did not care for the voice of the narrator very much. And it was quite cold (unseasonably so for Florida) that night and those metal benches didn't add any warmth. we didn't stay for the whole show and when we were leaving we finally realized some of the things that we should have "seen" while sitting down.

I have not experienced this at DL but already hearing about the more intimate seating would make me inclined to give it a try (and bring long underwear).

I was at WDW the second week in December and I thought the crowds were very manageable and overall I really enjoyed going to each of the parks/hotels to see how they decorated for the season. So for that reason I'd love to go back to WDW at Christmastime!

I have been to both Epcot's and Disneyland's. There really isn't much of a difference between the two but thought that the opening music of Disneyland's was better. Of course, that could just have been which year's version I saw. I believe that for the most part they are the same from year to year but probably some slight changes in music.

As for settings, I was able to see it last year at Disneyland. It did seem very magical being on Main St. It came close to being rained out (Epcot's is covered so it may be less likely to be cancelled). But the show went on and it was magical (I saw it Sunday with Lou Gossett Jr.). This year I will be seeing it with Marie Osmond hosting it.

Epcot's was very nice too. Did the dinner package for both Epcot and Disneyland and just liked Epcot's dinner packages better (seems like a better value).

You really need to do Disneyland's dinner package in order to get a nice seat for the show. Epcot's you can probably do if you stand in line long enough (without the dinner package).

It's no contest between Epcot and Disneyland when it comes to number of shows. 4 for Disneyland and 3 per night at Epcot for over one month.

Either way - you won't make a mistake.
