Disneylanders ! Need October Advice _

Ok, so we are planning an Oct trip. I am deciding between DL hotel and Hojo. But that is not my problem yet. My problem is the dates.
We have gone everytime of year but Halloween. My middle childs bday! so we were waiting for the school to give out fall break days. well the new school does not take a fall break. hmmmmm so now I need to plan on the fly!
When in OCT is the best. I know there is Mickeys trick or treat. are those being sold yet? when is the best time?

We went the week before Halloween last year, and it was perfect... until the weekend--then it got crowded... so my vote is: Oct 21-25/26.. .and do MHT! It is sooo fun!

We went last year mid October, loved it so much we are going Halloween weekend again this year. Mickeys trick or treat party is great. Tickets are onsale now for APers and Disney Visa cardholders. They wont be released until August 1 if you have neither of the above.

Ooh, Columbus Day and Canadian Thanksgiving are on the same day - October 13 (which is when we are planning on going.....). Hmm, maybe that's why there are not many deals to be had on hotels.....

We went in the begginning of october last year... the week b4 columbis day was great... the weekend of was busy, but not so busy you couldn't do anyhting kinda busy..... Plus they had the mickey party running so we got to go to that and it was LOTS of fun!!!

I think a lot of schools have Fall Break in the beginning of October so if I were to go again I would go the end of the month.

We were there last year and had a lot of fun! The decorations are really cool! You're going to have a blast!

oh I hope so. but it is really hard not to have at DL. Now I just have to figure out which charcters are there and start sewing.

We will be there from the 17th to 25th, I think part of that will be when Utah schools have thier break but I really want to see DL decorated for Halloween.

My family is thinking of going Oct 29-Nov 3 (kids will only miss one day of school.) I hope it's not too busy at that time.

Our school district is adding back the Fall Break this year So, we will be there the 21st - 25th. Can't wait! The airfares on Southwest are unbelievable as low as $69 each way from Denver to LAX. That sealed the deal.

Holy moly. We're going on our trip about 2 weeks before you in October, traveling from PDX to LAX like, and the cheapest I can find is like $300. I really need to do more research on flights.

Sign up for southwest ding... you can find good prices from PDX to LAX... we just flew PDX to SNA and it was $199 RT pp... which wasn't too bad... then I used miles and got 50% off...

Wow, thought all schools here had fall break. My kids go year round so they have 2 weeks. Any way we went to years ago the week of Halloween (weekdays only) and it was wonderful. Weather was great but for us it did get a little chilly at night and was warm during the day. The kids loved Mickeys Halloween Treat, they got to go on CS over and over without even getting off the ride.

you know most do. my kids went to a Private school for years and had a fall brak. we switch to a charter school next year and they said no fall break. ummmmmm, I need a fall break for disney!!! they looked at me like I was crazy. We are in North Phoenix. and I think in most AZ cities do have a fall break
