Hey fellow Canadians... have any of you stayed at the Fairfield Inn or Howard Johnson right next to Disneyland... what are your thoughts of these hotels.

Additionally where do you guys usually stay when at DL? It's been years since I've last been.

I haven't been to DL yet, but I am going in 3 weeks. We've booked the Howard Johnson. We've heard tons of positive things about the resort and seen many pictures. It's close and nice. We booked the rooms with the Disney views.

A few months after we booked the hotel (we booked in September) my aunt and uncle were telling me that they stayed in a really great hotel close to the parks when they went. They couldn't remember the name, but when I said the Howard Johnson, they told me that was it. Now that I personally know someone who has stayed there, I'm even more sure that we made the right choice. And my aunt is really picky when it comes to hotels!

We're staying at the Desert Inn, right across from the main gate. We've read tons of great reviews for the HOJO, but wanted to be as close to the entrance as possible. There's a good map here that shows all of the hotels within walking distance to DLR.

we have stayed at the HOJO twice and am staying there again in may..awesome hotel, good location with the best restaurant next door, very clean, and the best staff...wouldn't stay anywhere else.

i have stayed in the Howard Johnson before but it was several years away, the last few trips we have stayed Desert Inn.

the HOJO was a nice hotel, very clean and the pool is nice too great for little kids, i would recommend it for sure.
