This may or may not be the right place to ask,but i'll ask here anyway.

Anyhoo,my parents contacted the Make A Wish Foundation to see if I would be approved a wish.
I did,and my wish is to go to Disneyland.

So,what's it like over there in California?

Thanks.
Sonya.

its smaller.
you cant see the castle from anywhere in the park.
the walkways are smaller.
they have the matterhorn mountain, a new orleans square instead of liberty square, and a pirates island instead of tom sawyer island.
right across the way is california adventure.

personally, i disliked it. call me spoiled for being raised in and around wdw, but i went to disneyland with a full heart ready to walk where walt walked. i left in tears. not because of its size, but because of how i was treated by their cms. i know more than anyone that there are many different cms out there. but once one sets you in the wrong direction, your little trip is pretty much ruined. california adventure to me was a big joke. we seriously walked in, rode soarin, walked around their lovely "carnival" and walked out. they do have tot and the old school electrical light parade which was wonderful.

but if you asked me if id go again, i think id have to decline. i do know i will have to go again because my best friend loves aurora and wants to see her castle, so i agreed to go again for a day.

dont let my dislike of it ruin your wish though. heres to hoping you have a good time, love. :goodvibes

YAYYY SONYA! congrats!!! I hope you have a GREAT time!

I've never been to DLR, BUT I've always wanted to go. It would be an interesting change from WDW.

I hope you have lots of fun :D:D

do you know when you're going yet?

I was raised in WDW too and I didn't first go to Disneyland until I was like 14 and I loved it. The rides that are there are so much better. Like Space Mountain, owns.

It's kind of weird though because WDW is like a city and getting into Disneyland is like pulling into a store. It's just like on the side of the street.

CA is super fun too but it gets kind of boring quickly.

BTW, I highly reccommend the Alice in Wonderland ride in DL.

I've never been, but that's how I've always perceived DLR. Nothing more than two parks with not much to do.

I only go to WDW and someday want to go to DLR.
I hope you have alot of fun!

me too.

yay Sonya! that's great!! I met someone on the wonder, a fee weeks ago, and she was there because her sister got a wish from make a wish.

Disneyland has been the only Disney park I've ever been to. So to me, it's special.Yes, it is small, yes DCA can be kind of boring to all the people who are used to WDW kind of theme parks, but to kids who have grown up in California, it makes them feel like a true californian.Disneyland is also a little more special since it's the original, so I can really feel the magic in the air.But don't get me wrong, I've ALWAYS wanted to go to WDW, but sadly I can't, and im not sure if agree with DollfieDreams, I mean, im sure there are some rude castmembers there, but aren't there in all the disney parks? So I think that you'll really like it there imabrat, have fun :)

i said that, i know more than anyone that there are rude cms everywhere. i just happened to get a few when i went. more than a few and it ruined my experience.

and i hated that i dislked dl.
i was the only one of my group excited and just set on going. i made my mother drive from montery to anaheim just to take me. i wanted to be where walt was, see what he saw. and just walking in there to be dissapointed really hit me hard.

like i said, call me wdw spoiled.

Disneyland is awesome. It may not be Disney World, but its just as good. After all it is Disney!! I personally like Disneyland over WDW because it feels alot more manageable, and its easier to conquer in 2-3 days. It also has alot more rides, which are better in DL IMO. Trust me, you'll have a wonderful trip!!! :)
