Learnt about dapper day

Do you think what with dapper day and people saying certain rides shut and things being taken down for the diamond celebration it will be silly to go that week?

Also thinking bringing forward a week for halloween but then will be manic

What do you think

Anymore you can't really worry about crowds and closures when you're planning a trip that far in advance.
All you can do is look at the following links for a trend if you're not familiar with DLR.

Your time options Nov 4th - Nov 11th will allow you to use Dapper Days for better hotel rates and reduced park tickets. But keep in mind Veteran's Day is the 11th and will bring people in a few days early for a long weekend trip.
Going the week before (Oct 28th to Nov4th) will give you both the Halloween celebrations/decorations and some Holiday/Christmas. On November 1st the Halloween stuff will be replaced with winter holiday decor.

Crowd wise it's hard to say which would be better.

Look at the links and pick the dates where the events of the parks are your favorites.

Enjoy

There shouldn't be anything left of the 60th by November. It should all be down by the time Halloween time starts in September. What you'll run into that week is the soft opening of Christmas, so you'll likely be there for the first fireworks and parade, and probably the taping of the Christmas special and/or parade over the weekend. The taping tends to bring crowds into DL and concentrates them on Main St or in front of the castle, depending on where they're shooting. Also, they build a stage in front of the castle and you won't be able to pass through there while it's up. The soft opening tends to bring APs into the park after school and work to see the afternoon parade and holiday fireworks.

Here's my suggestion. Go find Fresh Baked Disney on youtube and look for the Playlist of the week last year you are thinking of going. It will give you some idea of Saturday crowds.
