I'm not envious though. I want a wedding that is more "US", and I feel like you have to be a certain kind of couple for this to actually work for the two of you.

But dang if that's not beautiful!

its funny, and maybe its because i am an older first time bride, but, as lovely as these pictures are - and many weddings are, disney or no, i just cant get past the whole cost issue and the over the top-ness. i mean, it isnt bad or wrong at all - and i think the groom posted some comments on carly's blog that made me think, wow, good for them, because i am SURE they had a once in a lifetime dream experience.... but DANG!

i think i just look at alot of things and make a judgement about who is paying and how can you let your folks pay so much for a wedding! i don't know - i guess i am debbie downer today! it sure is beautiful and they make a cute couple!

I'm actually glad you posted this because I found myself thinking the same way. I also find myself thinking, "Gee, there are seriously people who are really struggling right now and these people probably spend six figures on their wedding".

I mean, I agree, good for them, but personally, it's just not my thing. I can't see spending that kind of money even if I had it to spend.

I also sort of feel like the more money that is put into a wedding, the more generic it becomes and so less 'personal'. Does that make sense?

I could never afford anything like that, but I cannot deny that I am completely in love with that wedding. Perhaps if I win the lottery....

I hear ya! Again, the groom makes some cool comments on the Disney blog and one of them is that everyone wants to know how much money!!!!

It's beautiful, that look cite, I hope it was all done in cash and that's that!

I don't EVER wish to disparage amyones dream wedding or whatever but I wish there were a way to discuss the uncomfortableness I feel when viewing some wedding porn as to the cost etc WITHOUT being insulting to the wedding party? Like I love watching that David Tutera show but honestly, it's a crime that nowhere is the COST of what he changes those weddings to even discussed. It distorts OUR perceptions of what regular people can reasonably attain and diminishes for some, me included, the perception of what our own celebrations are "worth" at least in societies eyes if not our own and it's just wrong!
That said I know slot of things are inspirTional if not aspirational. And all of it is ok. I just do appreciate seeing what we all go threw hear in these planning stages.

I had the honor to do the hair & makeup for this wedding. I also attended. It was unreal. A Fairytale. Every Girls dream. They are an amazing sweet couple. I am happy to call them my friends. So if anyone happens to deserve a lavish amazing dream wedding it was them.

Being in the wedding industry. I am actually suprized on how affordable a Disney wedding can be. I do a lot of Disney weddings. But this one was in a league all its own!

This wedding is so amazing and it shows you truely can have whatever you want (for the right price )

But i really wouldnt want this for my wedding. I love the idea of it been small and sunny!

Disney really needs to let more people do night weddings in front of the castles…obviously there is a market for it

As for price, hey why not, if you’ve got it spend it….
