I've heard horror stories about WDW drinking fountain water. Is Disneyland's water decent to drink? I want to bring bottles to fill at the fountains and add the crystal light or kool aid packets to help save money. I just hope the water is drinkable. Also... is it warm? I despise warm water!

I don't usually use the drinking fountains. Instead, anytime I order food, even ice cream, I ask for a cup of ice water. It tastes fine to me.

So no one can tell me if the water fountain's water is good or not? That seems odd. lol The amount of times most of you have been there, I'm sure at least one of you has used the drinking fountain?

I was just there last week....the water is okay and it isnt warm. Seems to be somewhat cool.

I really dont know- but after reading posts here about people washing various body parts (baby bums! AGH!) in them, I probably wouldnt drink out of them unless truly necessary, LOL. :p

I like your idea, but I'd probably just pre-mix the stuff w/ purchased water bottles before we got there.

We were in DL March 30 through April 3, and the water was great. Cold (or at least cool enough), and tasted like home. Florida just has bad water because of their minerals & such. California's was fine. I drank lots of it, and in Florida, I never hit the water fountains. Bleagh! :crazy2:

Hi... I drink out of the drinking fountains sometimes... I like California water... I think it's yummy... most fountains are on the "cool" side, but it used to be, don't know if it still is or not, but the fountain by the bathrooms in fantasyland by the "counter service" restaurant by the Pinnohico Ride seems to be the coldest... I haven't used that fountain in a while, so it may not be now... hope this helps :drinking:

Are you SERIOUS? OMG LOL I think I will just pre buy the water then. Ewwww!! I'm glad you guys responded... Thank you very much! (Sorry if I sounded a little snarky, I just really wanted an answer!)

It's true! I've seen some nasty dirty hands being washed in the drinking fountains and so I stay clear!

Generally we hit a mini-mart/7-11 store near the park before entering and purchase several bottles of water - we refill them by going to the Carnation Plaza (is that the right name? - it's the restaurant at the end of Main Street just before Tomorrow land). They have a filtered water tap inside - I feel much safer going that route ;)

No - when you walk in, there is a soda fountain where people fill their own cups - right next to it is the filtered water tap :)
