Hi everyone,
Sorry for asking again but I put this in the main Disneyland page but thought it might work better here.

Hello everyone!
I'm totally new to this page and all of this so please forgive me if this has been asked multiple times or if it's a silly question. So to try to keep this short, I'm coming to DL for a trip in November and will be staying on property for the first time in over 40 years, at the villas. I'm super excited. For some context, I always try to avoid connecting rooms, just for a variety of reasons. I'm just wondering, I talked to some helpful people on FB, and they mentioned that this category -- Deluxe Studio Standard View -- are all non-connecting. Only the preferred studios connect because that's where all the one-bedroom lock offs are. So I booked the standard view, but can anyone who has inside knowledge confirm this? I'd really appreciate it very much, thank you.
Another very helpful person sent me the floor plan for the villas that are listed on the DH DVC page; it confirms what I've been told but have you all found these to be accurate? Again, thanks very much for your help everyone. I know it's probably over thinking things but I just want to be comfortable on my trip. I go to WDW many times a year but I never get to go to DL so I'm really looking forward to it!

True that only preferred deluxe studios have a chance of connecting to a one bedroom villa, with no one bedrooms in standard. However there are only 18 of them compared to the over 200 total deluxe studios in that whole tower. (Those 18 are mix of cash & Disney vacation club (DVC) inventory). Odds are a preferred won’t have the connecting door.

So now it’s price and location decision. Standard are on the south side of that tower, with some at the west end of that “T-ish” building shape. Basic views of blah. (Of course with no balcony, view may not be important). Preferred are either on the back perimeter of the palette pool (west side of building) or those you see on the front (east) side of the tower.

Then it comes to theming. Those connecting deluxe studios will all be Tiana since the one bedrooms are themed that way. Otherwise deluxe studios on an odd numbered floor are Aurora theme & even numbered floors are Tiana themed.

Hope this info helps some with your connecting room concern & category choice. Enjoy your stay!

I can’t thank you enough for all of this, it’s exactly what I was looking for! I really appreciate it. I’m actually fine with a more blah view so this sounds like the standard view will work well for me. And I love sleeping beauty so that’s great theming for me too. I’ll admit, I was surprised that the standard view room was more money because I know the view is not as good but that still works for me.
Thank you so much again for your help with this!

Interesting on the price. Maybe get lucky and cash room locations are looked at differently than DVC for standard. Many don’t think the back side rooms by the tower palette pool should be “preferred” points chart. The rooms out on the front are definitely preferred and nice.

Try for an odd numbered floor for sleeping beauty. It’s still a fun randomizer. Both themes are good.

The “garden” area is the nicest splurge for a stay here. Two story building, by the pool, all with a patio or balcony. But very limited quantity.

Most trips for us are the two of us. The tower was designed for the Duo. Have to pull down your bed but most of them have a balcony! (Standard and Preferred). The preferred duo is nice because you get a balcony on that palette pool side or the non balcony Duo preferred are all on the front, top four floors, on each side of those two grand villas.

I was excited to try the Duo actually! Especially the garden. But it was all sold out for my trip. I’m solo so that’s more than enough for me. And I appreciate your advice about the odd/even rooms. Both of those movies are great so I’d be happy with either. I just can’t wait to see all the parks again, it’s been forever!

And over 40 years!! Wow!! Have a lot of catching up to do! You were still walking on the Eeyore lot. Still have the castle & Main St to spark the memory to work from. Also the two original eucalyptus trees on each side of the train station, at the entrance, are still there! Much bigger for sure!

Oh, that's cool to know about the trees! I didn't know about that, I'm going to look for them. I won't pester you with questions, but how is the walk from the DH to the parks? It looks fine to me, but I'm just curious. I stay at the Grand Floridian a lot in Florida and walk all the time, and that seems a bit longer. But it looks fun that you get to go through Downtown Disney. Thank you so much again!

The walk is a piece of cake. About a 10 minute stroll to the gates. Downtown Disney scenery along the way. Monorail station option real close. At times I’ll even use it for my hotel returns. Going a good time of year. Our monorails are without A/C and temps should be well below 90 to keep them running.
