It is official Disneyland trip number 5 will be August 22 to 27 next year, Taking our Granddaughter.
Should be good with Carlands etc open.
All planning and bookings done just have to wait for good airfares.

Good for you, Darren! Looking forward to seeing you posting a bit more around here....and another TR! :goodvibes

Yes sorry been a bit busy setting up a new business car detailing and working full time.

Yay for a new trip! Hope you get some good deals on flights. Can't wait to hear about Carsland!

It will be a 5 or 7 day trip leaving Friday 24 Aug and returning Wednesday 29 Aug or Friday 31 Aug, if I can talk my DW into it. We are taking our 6 year old Granddaughter I promised her a few years ago and she still remembers and does not let DGD forget. Have booked the Park Vue Inn we have not stayed there before the reviews are good and just across the road, Taking the Disneyland Express to Anaheim and have purchased our DL tickets through DL website. Now all I need is a good deal on flights.
Main reason for picking the PVI is because it is right across the road as DGD is very small for her age, she cannot walk long distances, we are even thinking we may have to purchase/rent a stroller for her. This trip is all for her, It will be very different trip for us that is for sure.

Will be doing a few Character Breakfasts, Standing in line for a photo with the Princess etc and even thinking about booking her in for a Princess Makeover.
Yes it will be very different Disney Holiday for me.
Thanks for asking Marvel

Sounds like a great plan. I am sure you are scoring some major grandpa points! Our kids a bigger now, but we always love watching the smaller kids in disney and how excited they get. Although we get just as excited

Sounds like a fabulous holiday. Just checked out the park vue, it does look good! Might be on the top of my list now! Can't seem to book for Oct yet, maybe they aren't open for booking then yet.

That sounds like such a fun trip. We're taking our 5 and 7 year olds in a couple of weeks and I'll let you know how they hold up without a stroller. Last time we had one of those american strollers that have one kids sitting on the front and one standing or sitting behind. Most of the time we had 3 kids hitching a ride. They were 3, 5 and 7 at the time. I'm thinking that we may end up with a stroller this time to help with the exhaustion. They are not used to walking so much. You MUST do bibbidy bobbidy boutique with her if she's into princesses. It's such a fun and lovely experience.

We found that the stroller was a must when our kids were 7 and 5, even though the could get around fine, they still go tired and the stroller was good for carrying everything that would have been in my backpack.

Hello to all,
Have an update for you as we are 26 weeks until our trip.
Our Granddaughter has been diagnose with separation anxiety order and so we have to cancel the whole trip, It would not be fair to her if we are in America and gets hysterical, what are we to do ?, we just can not take her back to Mum.
It was her birthday the other weekend and one of the Parents asked her is she looking forward going to Disneyland, poor girl she just freaked out and went running to her Mum so upset screaming I am not going.
After talking to the Doctor he advise us not to take her, If her Mum can go that would be fine, Our Daughter and Son in Law just do not have the money.
So there is a happy ending to all this his Dad is going to pay for their airfares and we will pay for rest. And then our Son said he will come as well so now I have to start replan and book all over again for 5 Adults, 1 Child and 1 Toddler.
So let the Planning begin.

Darren - sorry about your granddaughter and separation anxiety. I hope she grows out of it.
I was really glad to read about the happy outcome. How fantastic to have the whole family on this trip! So happy for you.

Thank you for your kind words
We hope she will grow out of it too
Never realise just how serious SA can be
