Disneyland travel times on I-5

How much time should we allow to travel from the Park to Bob Hope Airport at approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, and traveling to the park on Friday, Nov. 9, at approximately 9 a.m.?

Also is there anything going on special at the Park on the weekend of Nov.
9, 2007? It appears all the rooms at the Park hotels are booked.

Is three days enough to see the Parks--it is our first time there? We have no children and are 50 years old.

That is Vet's Day weekend, Monday being the school/work holiday. The parks will be a zoo. Bring your patience! And be aware, the parks have reached capacity and experienced gate closures on this holiday in the past, mainly the Monday, so be prepared and be sure to enter DL early and get a hand stamp if you plan to be there in the afternoon.

With no children to slow down your trip for diaper/potty breaks, naps, etc, you should be able to do much of the parks, but keep in mind there will be long lines everywhere. Use Fast Pass as much as possible.

As far as the drive, travel time can be an hour with NO traffic, but you will be there during rush hour both ways. I'd allow at least 2 hours, maybe more on the drive back.

I would plan a couple hours for each way! 4 pm is alot of traffic, but normally going the other way. But I have found with that freeway that you never know! We come from the same area (airport) and it has taken us 40 minutes and other times 3 hours.

On Friday at 9am, I'd say over an hour. Probably an hour and a half. Use carpool lanes when available. Kind of depends on which route you take. (134-5) or (134/101-405-91-5).

If you can come back sooner than 4pm on that Tuesday, you'll feel a lot better. By 4pm on a weekday, traffic really starts to get ugly. And it doesn't seem to matter much which way you are going. Its all bad.

There are always slow downs but it will be better than 4pm (barring accidents/road work).
