Disneyland Tower Construction Update

With someone who may only go to Disneyland for 2-3 days at most, what would be the best amount of points to get? I am thinking most years getting a studio, but every now and then getting a 2 bedroom.
I won’t say that there is never such a thing as too many points, but I know I’m not there yet….

It’s a luxury to do this; but I like having double the number of days at my resort vs the number of days I want to visit the parks. I either do resort days every other day, or spend at least a good portion of the trip relaxing at the resort in our room, at the pool, or even offsite for some food. Still debating if we are going to do partial resort days or every other day at Disneyland. At WDW the every other day method works well as it’s so spread out. With Disneyland being so compact, I feel the go a little to a lot each day depending on how you feel is easier. Just have to pay for more park hopper days on your ticket.

Sounds like 200 to 300 points might be a good start for your needs if this is just a supplement for other properties. Wild guess without knowing the point charts :)

I wonder what the square footage will be for each room type and I really hope the studios sleep 5. Crossing my fingers for good news whenever it does come out.

@CastAStone measured the documents they released and from the plans, his best rough guess was:
Pod: 275
Studio: 400
1BR: 805
2BR: 1205

I am very intrigued to buy here if the layout and size of rooms is similar to Riviera.

How far a walk is it going to be from the parks? We have never done Disneyland.

Maybe ten minutes? The hotels at Disneyland are pretty much closer than any resorts at WDW are to a park.

Though as much as I love Disneyland I’m not sure I’d buy there unless I was sure I loved the park and would be going there frequently.

I agree, as much as I would like to visit Disneyland, I don't think I would visit enough to buy there.

We had discussed this before on a different VDH thread and the walk to the Esplanade (the plaza between the 2 park entrance) is about 0.5 miles. Similar to walking from BLT to MK. Otherwise the monorail is right by the hotel entrance but only goes to Disneyland. I would like to assume (hopefully) they’ll let VDH use the Pixar Pier entrance into DCA which is super close too.

Thank you!

This got me interested to tinker around so I placed the drawing for the 2BR into Photoshop and did some tweaking to get it to 1/10th scale using the depth of the beds as a baseline. Based on my rough math the SQ feet for the 2BR looks good. Here is what I came up with......
