Thought it might be fun to get a thread started about the ongoing construction of the new Disneyland Tower. We’re in Los Angeles, and just drove home from Disneyland after a quick one night stay. The attached picture was taken from the 7th floor of the Fantasy Tower of the Disneyland Hotel. Not vertical yet, but it looks like there‘s been a lot of progress on underground infrastructure and such, with what looks like a large concrete shaft imbedded into the ground. I think 2022 will be the year when DLT really takes shape!

Must be an incredible amount of work to build the foundation of these types of buildings in California. Should be an awesome resort! Not going to be cheap though.

Thanks for the update; I'm a long way from CA and can't easily swing by. Maybe my future home-sweet-home?

If it has resale restrictions (likely) and/or the pp is too high, I'm not sure if I would be immediately heading to buy. I would also consider other direct points without resale restrictions hoping I could make a short stay reservation in a non-peak season, or maybe look for VGC resale.

I want to get Disneyland Tower points, but it’s kind of pending the price and points charts. I have enough points right now with some unrestricted resale and some direct, but I don’t know how the 7-month booking will look. I want some home resort points there for that reason, because VGC is nearly impossible to book and while DLT should ease that a bit, I think the west coast will still be in high demand.

Just checking the availability calendar, it doesn't look impossible depending on seasons. The current 7 month mark, March of 2023 has many availabilities. Need to compete with others at 5 AM though.

With someone who may only go to Disneyland for 2-3 days at most, what would be the best amount of points to get? I am thinking most years getting a studio, but every now and then getting a 2 bedroom.
