We will be making our first and possibly only trip to Disneyland for the Half marathon on labor day weekend to complete the Coast to Coast Challenge. We will be arriving on Thursday September 1st and taking the red eye on the 4th after completing the half marathon. We are torn between the Welcome to Disneyland tour and the Walk in Walt's Footsteps. We were considering doing both tours because my DBF, wants to do the Walk in Walts Foot Steps due to the Club 33 lobby tour, my father would like to ride the Lilly Belle. My Disney Parents and Disney Brother want to do the Welcome to Disneyland Tour because the believe that it will be a good start to the Disneyland experience, as well as the perk of riding some of the attractions and the extra fast passes. I have been given the task of planning our trip. Will it be next to impossible to do most of the rides and all of the attractions at both parks with only 2-3 days to complete everything??? We would like to have dinner or at least dessert at the Blue Bayou, should I make an ADR or will I be able to use the priority seating???

For Blue Bayou I'd suggest making a reservation at the 60 mark because it's a holiday weekend. I like the first spot for dinner in the late afternoon to sit by the water inside with a smaller wait.

For tours I'd do Walk in Walt's footsteps simply because of being able to go in the club 33 lobby. But if you can pass on that you can ask at the mainstreet station to ride the Lilly Belle as a regular guest anyway. Just be aware that it's best to ask in the morning because even if it's out that day if it's too hot they stop letting people ride it.

While getting to go on rides on the Welcome To Disneyland tour is a perk remember that if you skip the tours you could ride rides on you own.

But either way I'd come with some basic Disneyland history knowlege so you can appreciate the finer point.

Also I'd try for 3-4 days since it will be over a busy weekend. Even 5 might be nicer.
