What are your top 3 favorite things to do at the Disneyland Resort?

For me they would be:
1. Frozen Banana - I eat one EVERY time I go. Cold weather or warm weather, night or day, diet or no diet.
2. Soarin' Over California
3. Listen to music - Rod Miller at Coke Corner, any band that performs (especially in New Orleans Square), the big bands on Saturday night, parade music, firework music, fantasmic music, atmosphere music...I love it all.

How about you?

Limited to Disneyland park only:

1. Matterhorn Bobsleds first thing in the morning. My two boys sit in front and my husband and I snuggle together in the back seat. Heaven.

2. Sitting on one of the benches in the middle of Tom Sawyer Island after a busy day while my sons run from one end of the island to the other (where they get all the energy I don't know).

3. Riding my log around the outside of Splash Mountain where I can see Big Thunder Mountain Railroad off in the distance...this of course after bypassing the hundreds of people waiting in the standby line with my fastpass.

Can't wait until August when I get to go back.

Only been once, but that's ok!

1.) Indiana Jones Adventure
2.) Matterhorn Bobsleds
3.) Soarin' Over California

Or hang out at Downtown Disney!! Whoops, that's 4 things. LOL.

Ooooh! Tough one but a good topic! For me, they are:
1) POTC
2) Fried Chicken platter from the Plaza Inn(this tradition started with my parents and trickled down to us. Now we go every time we're at DL).
3) It's A Small World

Great idea for a thread, Tink! This will certainly give those of us going for the first time this year lots of ideas. :D

::yes::

My thoughts exactly. I especially like the little things, like hearing about the fried chicken and the flowers. Those are the things the guidebooks never tell you enough about. You need Disneyaholics to give you that kind of lowdown. :D

-Indiana Jones - rode at least 13 times my first visit to DL...I was determined to go through every door. It was great 1 night, there was absolutely no line.

-Soarin' over California - my wife's very favorite

-California Screamin'

Tough choice...
1. Riding POTC and singing the song
2. Indiana Jones
3. Relaxing on a bench in the shade while enjoying a DoleWhip on a hot day

My faves are

1. Splash Mountain

2. Soaring over California

3. The magical feeling I get when I enter the parks

If I have to pick only 3 it would be:

1. Peter Pan
2. POTC
3. IASW

Not the most exciting things to do I know. But they all hold great memories from when I was very young till the present. Can never leave the park without doing those.

I love this thread, Tink33! Although, it's hard to pick just 3! :earboy2:

1. Riding California Screamin' with my DH2B :lovestruc

2. When I first enter the park, and I'm walking down Main Street. I love the feeling I get just from being there, the excitement and the anticipation. That feeling never goes away, no matter how often I go.

3. Shopping! Especially at DTD: The World of Disney, Dept. 56 and Illuminations! ::yes::

I'm cheating and going with a fourth, but it's not a particular activity so maybe I'll be able to get away with sneaking it in :p : Just being able to spend a day at the parks with my mom. She lives in CO and Disney is our most favorite place in the entire world. I love when we can experience it together. :cloud9:

1) Soarin' Over California - favorite thrill ride ever for me... It amazed me and left my legs weaker than any rollercoaster ever.

2) California Screamin' - In the same vein, CS is my favorite rollercoaster that I've ever been on... Like a big outdoor version of Rock'n'Rollercoaster.

3) Pirates of the Carribean. Always a Disney favorite, but better here than the other two I've been on.

Picking only three is tough, but I would have to say:

1. Shopping - I love the glass shops, Disney Ears, etched 3-D glass, kitchen supplies, magnets, etc etc etc

2. Soarin' of California - I am so nervous about heights, and was so frightened the first time on this, but absolutely love this.

3. IASW - Went to the parks by myself for 1 day and this is the only ride I went on, spent the rest of the shopping.

1. Take pics -- I'm a nut when it comes to taking pictures of the Disneyland Resort
2. People watch -- I just love it when it comes to watching the little ones with the characters. They're so sweet.
3. Have a Mickey Bar for Marla -- Even if I don't finish it, I always get one & eat it for her because she loves them.

I'm going to say here that the most fun I ever have listening to music at the parks or watching a parade is when I'm with Tink33 -- she is the epitome of a DLR lover & I can't help but have fun when I'm with her.... I still remember listening to the Fab 4 that night & Tink33 dancing the monkey -- heh heh. :flower:

1) Riding that monorail into the park in the morning, hopping off, and rushing to Autopia with my kids.

2) Singing "Yo ho, yo ho" with my kids on POTC, and saying "Dead men tell no tales!"

3) Riding Big Thunder Mountain with my kids, and hearing my daughter screaming her head off because she loves to scream on those rides.

I also love to eat at Blue Bayou right next to the water, but nowhere near as much as I love to have fun with my kids! Sorry for being the sappy mom, but there's nothing (for me) like enjoying the time with my children at Disneyland.

Of all the rides and entertainment, my 12 year old is looking forward to going to Tom Sawyer Island more than anything. It was closed when we went last time and he loved it the time before.

1. Gumbo in a bread bowl on the balcony at the Disney Gallery.

2. The light in the fire station

3. Being there first thing and hearing Walt say, "To all who come to this happy place, welcome..."
