From Disneyland, you have two choices. Enter DCA and then exit through the DCA to GCH exit. Turn left. If you can't or don't want to enter DCA, your other way is to exit Disneyland, head through bag check into DtD, walk through DtD until you get to the left hand side corridor that takes you into the GCH, walk through a chunk of the GCH past the lobby, gift shop, Storyteller's Cafe, pool, and the entrance into DCA. Long walk.

OK, maybe I'll be in the minority here because I know there's always heaps of praise for WWS, but this is not a destination eating location. WWS is ok enough if you happen to be close by, i.e. in the Grand already or on the Redwood Creek/Grizzly River Run side of DCA and you're starting to get hungry. Then duck out of DCA into the GCH, turn left, and you're at WWS. Conveniently close, often relatively quiet, ok food. Never been fast for us, but others have had better experiences. Otherwise, IMHO, why bother? There are plenty of other places to eat in the parks, DtD, or even along Harbor if you have to head all the way back to Hojo anyway.

If you want to eat here... do it on a California Adventure day. It's close to the GCH entrance in CA. I doubt I'd walk from Disneyland all the way over there just for that.

We really loved the nachos. We had early dinners, then would grab those on the way back to the resort at night. Breakfast was good there too.

I agree with above poster. WWS is ok and not great. Not sure why it gets such high praise. We've had lunch and breakfast there while staying at the GC. It was slow service for us as well. Don't get me wrong its a very serviceable place to eat just not one of the best.

I know most think it's ok but we like having lunch there. It's a great quiet place for lunch. The tuna sandwiches are awesome! We don't go in everytime but if we want sandwiches that is usually our first choice.

After eating there more than a few times, I completely agree.

Especially with Mimi's and Millie's, both being on Harbor on your way back to HoJo.

If you're eating at WWS and want to go back to your hotel room, you'll have to retrace your steps to the esplanade, then out the Harbor entrance and on...(unless you want to go out the Grand and catch a cab, of course!).

I'm wondering what WWS is? Just looking for a nice place for my husband and myself to sit and eat a sandwich when we get there. Leaving Sept 7 until the 12th. Thank you for answering my silly question!!! I am new at this thing, will get the hang of it sometime.

White Water Snacks. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner. Sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and quick food items. It is near the pool area of Grand Californian at one end of the hotel.

And that's not a silly question. Welcome to the Disboards!

I agree with others. It's an OK place if you happen to be in DTD or GCH and don't want to spend the money on a sit-down dinner, but there are just as good places in the theme parks proper (and if you're ultimate destination is HoJo's you'll have to backtrack to get to WWS).

As an alternative, Earl of Sandwiches is supposed to open in DTD in early summer. I've never eaten there, but sounds really good.

Are you trying to eat there on a non-park day? If so, don't do it, it is great for being at DCA or entering or leaving, but it's not great enough to go really out of the way!

We like to leave DCA and have a little down time.
