Disneyland ticket towards a Disneyworld ticket?

Hi all-

This topic might be covered somewhere but I could not find it in my search. I went to Disneyland last year and during the time I was there alot of their rides were not functioning correctly, I stood in alot of lines were we couldn't get on the ride cause they would close it for maintenance, I was stuck on some of the rides, and some rides I waited to get on and they seemed to be closed most of the time. Management knew all about it, I guess other people complained about it, and they immediately offered me a ticket.

Anyways, Disneyland gave me a 1 day complimentary ticket good for one park. Does anyone know if Disneyworld will take this for whatever its value is and apply the value towards a WDW ticket? I don't think I will go to DL or California again for a long time. Thank you, for your input. We are thinking about going back to WDW in June!

Well I called and they didn't know so they gave me the guest relations email address. I hope they will get back to me soon.

I was under the impression that DL used WDW tickets towards the purchase or use at DL? So wouldn't it work the other way around?

I hope someone can help me, one way or the other I will post what ever their response is. Thanks.

I think the only reason DL will accept WDW is that WDW ones are more expensive, so Disney is making out in the deal.

yes, pounchingpluto, that makes sense, but someone at DL told me that they wasn't sure but want to say no, because DL and WDW are two seperate entities, which make no sense to me.

What I'm asking for, is that WDW take it for what it is worth and I will make up the difference in purchasing a new ticket, any ticket.

I hope they say yes. Or if I go to Orlando this year I might just skip Disney all together, and buy the Orlando Flex passes good for unlimited use of 4 or 5 parks for 14 days straight and just over $200, since we may be there for 2 weeks this time. Its obviously a better deal, but its not the same if you can't visit WDW!

You will not be able to use a DL ticket (any DL ticket) at WDW.

That fact notwithstanding, you have a complimentary ticket to DL. It's worth zero in dollars and cents. It cannot be exchanged, refunded or upgraded. It's only value is to allow one admission to DL or DCA.

Sorry. :(

Sorry. :(

If a ticket to DL is worth $0, isn't a ticket to DCA worth negative $0??? :p

I'm still waiting for WDW to get back to me. I feel like I'm alone here. Has nobody else inquired about the same thing? As soon as I hear something, I'll be sure to post it. Thanks :D

I wouldn't hold my breath. I was going to post that Disney might (if you're lucky) give you a credit equal to what you paid for your DL ticket then I re-read your post and realized that was zero.
