Has anyone else applied for the Disneyland Summer Alumni Program? From what I understand, it's a test run to measure the success of summer programs in Anaheim.

I applied for several professional internships and had my interview on Monday...I won't hear back until the end of April. Today I had my interview for the Disneyland Summer Alumni Program. My interview was extremely short...only 15 minutes...but I asked a few questions at the end and was put on hold twice while my interviewer tried to find the answers for me.

In the end, she told me that she was going to recommend me for a role in merchandise and that she thought I was a strong applicant. She even gave me her phone number and told me that if I do not hear back within 2-3 weeks or if I am not accepted into the summer program, that I should call her and she would take care of it.

I'm still waiting to hear back on several Disney Professional Internships and a few local summer internships. Should I accept it and back out if I end up with a better summer opportunity, or should I decline right away? Should I just pack up and go to Disneyland? I've never actually been there. Any advice?

doubt is really a test. they've done stuff like this in the past for DLR to fill spots in housing that opened due to people leaving their programs early. even when they first secured housing for them, they did a quick summer program and asked alumni to come in and fill it.

can't really advise on what you should do with all of your options. I'm sure you know the costs of DLR (close to $1000 if accepted) and are OK with that.
