Disneyland---suggestions needed for Good Neighbor hotel

I'd say stay as close as you can to the Harbor Blvd entrance at one of the following Harbor Blvd motels. This area is very safe and has lots of off-site dining options.

That said, keep in mind that most of these accomodations are old motels that have been updated and refreshed over the years, but they are really just motels that had the good fortune to be located close to where Disneyland was built. Yes, they are that old. Most are nothing special. Depending upon if something is important to you, like a nice pool, or a free hot breakfast, or free parking, then there will be some differentation between them. However, if you only want a place to crash and shower, then just go with the best combination of location and price.

I also wouln't worry at all about the Good Neighbour designation. It means little more than they sell Disney tickets. Usually, the Good Neighbour packages on the Disney site are not as a good deal as booking directly.

My sister's family stayed at the Best Western Plus last year and said it was a great location. They were happy with their stay there.

We stayed at the new Hyatt Place at Christmas, just across the street and a few blocks to the parking lot where you can hop on the Disney bus to the parks, they have family suites with a separate room for adults and kids, the kids room having bunk beds. Highly recommended.
