Does anyone have photos of the stroller you can rent at Disneyland? I am trying to decide if we want to rent the Disneyland one with our Disney visa or use our big one for the lower storage space.

(I have lots of thoughts about rental strollers)

Well I would first make sure you know that you shouldn't leave anything in the stroller. It's amazing how much stuff people DO leave in their strollers, but considering we've now had two things stolen from a stroller and one thing stolen after we left it for 5 minutes on a bench (never turned in to lost and found = stolen), I don't even leave water in the stroller.

Also, there's storage space behind the seat and under the seat of the rentals.

All that said...

I didn't get a pic of the strollers rented during our trip last week, but they are the same as they have been. We got two of the newer strollers...brighter color and cleaner, but the same.

And all *that* said...the time that little ones (and big ones) need the stroller most is during sleepy mornings and nights, IMO. The early trips were only day trips, and we could wear him back to the car, so it wasn't a problem. But when he was 3.5, we stayed over and only had the rental stroller, and it was a problem. DS was excited enough in the mornings, but I ended up carrying him (b/c I didn't want ot take an hour-long walk as he dragged along), and it was NOT fun.

So as relatively nice as the strollers are, I'd make sure you had something for morning and evening before you get to the rental area...

It has been said, however, that they will store your own stroller for you, while you rent one.

Also, the free Disney Visa strollers are obviously a great deal, BUT you give up precious time each and every morning, waiting in the line to get one. If you go that route, make sure you're in a line close to the stroller rental (to the right side in DL and DCA) and have the renter just jet over there to be among the first in line).

Wow, thank you both for the information. That link was great and bumbershoot your insight and photos were helpful. Last year we didn't have the Disney visa and took 2 strollers for our 2 girls. Our problem is we stay off-site at a suite hotel and have to drive, park, and shuttle ride to the entrance and hauling the strollers with us is a pain. We thought renting might save us the hassle that caused trying to get into the parks. However, I hadn't considered the waiting time for getting a rental. I guess I have some more thought to put into this, thank goodness I have nothing better to do with my time until the park hours & schedule finally are released. :)

Thank you again for both of your great answers! :cheer2:

Instead of trying to get our stroller on the tram (seems like too much hassle), we just walk from the parking garage to the parks. It takes maybe 10 minutes. You just have to cross the street, walk down the sidewalk a little ways and then there is a nice little path that takes you right into DTD. We do that all the time and it can be faster than waiting for a tram if there are a lot of people.

Wow, LavenderPeach, is that from the Mickey & Friends garage? Is it marked how to get to the parks from the garage? Do you follow signs to DTD then into the parks?? That might be a good option too. I didn't even think of trying it last year.

Yes, we walk from the M&F garage. There is an opening in the gate right there at the edge of the Pinnochio lot. It's next to the hedges that separate the tram area from the Pinnochio parking area. You just go through the gate and turn left on the sidewalk. Cross the street at the crosswalk, walk down a little ways and you will see a path going off to the left with a sign that says DTD. Follow the path and it will take you right to DTD. You'll walk behind a few of the DTD buildings. DH and I actually go through the gate near Haggan-Daaz even though it says "cast members and employees only". I'm not sure why it says that because it's just a small gate that takes you right next to the restrooms and the Haggan-Daaz store. Or you can keep following the path and it will take you close to where the tram stops. Then you just keep walking that same direction to get to the parks. Hope that didn't sound too confusing. If you don't see where to go to get to the sidewalk you could ask a CM and they can point it out to you. It's not difficult though.
