Disneyland Strike?

The contract voting is always a giant mess...as was this year's. Incorrect ballots given to CMs (DCA and DL are separate contracts even though they are identical) because the voting location for both parks was the SAME location/room and held at the exact same time, and the ballots were only differentiated by color...which many CMs were given incorrect ballots, which MAY have affected the outcome (particularly in DCA where the "yes" vote was supposedly by a VERY close margin).

Attractions/Parking (Teamsters) holds their vote Thursday Dec 2nd, and Custodial/Costuming/etc (SEIU) holds their vote Thursday 2nd & Friday 3rd

I remember being in a union for the San Diego Zoo, decades ago. We went to vote on a strike and everyone was vocal about not taking our final offer and how we would strike until the vote came back in favor of us going on strike. Then, people starting chickening out and another vote was done and it also came out that we would strike. Apparently, those in favor were not serious and we did a third vote that decided we would accept the final offer. It was about a 4 hour union meeting of utter nonsense.

Given the holidays, the labor shortage and Disney's finances from the parks being closed for a year, I can't think of a better time to go on strike from a labor negotiation perspective. Disney needs CMs at work more than ever right now.

We'll see how this shakes out.
