Besides Blue Bayou and Carnation Cafe, are there any other restaurants in the Disneyland Park that are not self-service?

Great! I've always wanted to eat there, will definitely plan on it this time.

Club 33. (Beg a member to take you.)

Where is that? :bitelip:

It's a private club located above the Blue Bayou Resturant/POTC. As it's for members only and their guests it's pretty difficult to get into.

If you don't mind buffets there's the Plaza Inn (at breakfast), and Goofy's Kicthen. There is aslo Storytellers which can be either buffet or menu. There are other hotel resturnats including Napa Rose (pricey but good), Yambuki, PCH Grill (is it still there :confused3 ), Gransville, and Hooks Point.

I saw the Club 33 menu, looks great. How does one become a member? Just curious, I doubt if we'd be able to afford it!

I know that Cafe Orleans now offers table service - does anyone know if the menu has changed? Looking for something nice but a little more affordable than Blue Bayou.

You apply, you are on a waiting list (between 5 and 7 years) and when you finally get contacted to become a member, you'd better have several thousands of dollars to spend on your membership...

You put your name on a waiting list. You mail them a letter stating you would like to be a member. They will send you a letter when your name comes up. You cannot contact them to find out how soon your name will be coming up on the list.

Here are the fees after that point:

Corporate Membership:
$20,000 initiation fee
$5,725 annual dues for first member, $4, 375 for each additional member up to 9 cards

Limited Corporation Membership:
$10,000 initiation fee
$4,375 annual dues for one person. You can only get one card, but that can be transferred to another person in the same company.

Gold/Individual Membership:
$7,500 initiation fee
$3,025 annual dues for one person and card is non-transferable

These fees could go higher as the wait gets longer.

They used to have a silver membership, but they don't anymore.

Members get a Premium Annual pass, free valet parking at the Grand Californian Hotel and free parkingin the Disneyland parking lot. It is the only place at Disneyland that serves alcohol. You can bring unlimited guest who receive free admission as long as they will be dining at Club 33 that day.

Not that I am a member, I have just come across a lot of information on this. It would be nice to go their one day, but I don't know anyone with that kind of money.

I had no idea Club 33 was so exclusive. I'm sure the closest I'll ever get is to take a picture of the outside door!

Downtown Disney has lots of great restaurants... our favorite is Jazz Kitchen. There's also Tortilla Joes, ESPN Zone (love it), Rainforest Cafe (hate it, food is not good), Naples (love it).

We went on the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour last week and we able to go inside the door of Club 33 into the downstairs lobby and they let us take pictures inside the elevator that goes to the upper floor. Walt saw the elevator while he was travleing in Europe and wanted to buy it but the owner said," what was he going to do without an elevator" so he let Walt's imagineers come and copy the elevator and build it for Club 33 in DL.

We've been fortunate to have gone to Club 33 a few times since my father and FIL both worked for a company that has a membership there and whenever an employee celebrates a milestone service anniversary (20 yrs +) they can request to celebrate with their family there. It's by far one of the best dining experiences, but very pricey! In 2003, I think it was about $55 per person for lunch plus cost of drinks.

If I had the opportunity I'd go despite the high price to dine there. I've been reading about it and it seems like such a special place. I'm definitely going to look for it on our next trip.
Most people spend hours planning what rides and attractions to visit, all I can think about is where were going to eat! I think I might have a food obsession. :goodvibes

We've been to Club 33 several times, and recommend it if the opportunity presents itself.
