Disneyland Reopening Speculation Superthread

So today they will still be red. Which means They won't assess it again for 2 weeks. Which means they will most likely be red again. The numbers are still at a 4.6

I do expect Ghaly to talk about Orange County numbers today, so we should here a specific update.
From what it looks like the tier thing works you would almost think that they don't want their state to reopen at all. It seems pretty impossible to reach those standards. It just seems like they are making it harder than it should be for some reason. (Sorry if I got too political).

So here in Texas, we were in red, but things got to open. Six Flags was open, so was the zoo and Sea World. They just limited capacity, forced social distancing and everything is running fine. We don't have the best numbers, but we haven't seen spikes cause they opened....

I don't think risk tiers in Texas are the same as risk tiers in California. There is no national standard as far as I know.

@Aurora0427 @midnight star Here's a map of the coronavirus risk tier by county. I don't believe there is a paywall

The counties that are orange in the Bay Area are San Francisco County, Alameda, and Santa Clara. Most of the rest of the Bay Area is red. Probably the most significant theme park to speak of in those counties would be California's Great America, which according to their website is closed for the 2020 season. There are a few smaller "theme parks", though I would hardly call them theme parks, they are very small. Someone mentioned Happy Hollow (Santa Clara County) and Fairyland (Alameda County). They are more like huge playgrounds than theme parks. Anyway, Fairyland is open and Happy Hollow is closed. It may be important to note that within California, the Bay Area tends to be more conservative in terms of Covid than Southern California in my opinion. The Bay Area shut down earlier than the state did at the beginning.

The other major theme park in the Bay Area would probably be Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, which is partially open I think. It is in Solano County (red).

Six Flags in Vallejo is open, but only to see the animals, the rides are closed. This doesn't really make sense to me because rides are open in other places. For example, the merry-go-round at Pier 39 is open.

I went to Discovery Kingdom this past weekend. The rides are closed but the animal shows / exhibits are open. Limited attendance with reservations required.

you guys!!! we have waited so long for this moment. honestly, at this point i don't even care what the guidelines are (ok that's not completey true!). I am just so happy to have something and then can hopefully have some kind of idea of when I can actually plan a trip for. I am so done with the unknown.

I think there is some goofiness on Disneyland.com today.

-Clicking around Park Hours: The page often hangs, or displays Stitch ate the page (broken link), especially when you get past November 1. If you don't see it at first, click around the tabs (days/months/Park Hours, etc). I've been checking park hours often for any hints. Have not had this issue prior to today.

-Dining Reservations: I swear all the DTD restaurants were listed first. Today the dining packages were listed first on the main screen. Now it seems to have flipped back. Not sure about this one, but I've also been checking dining lately, as I have some DTD stuff booked, and this is first time I've noticed that.

-On site reservations are not available until Nov. 16th. I'm not sure if this is new... last report I saw was Nov. 1st. It could be the normal sliding dates, but I thought that happened on Thursdays.

So, I'm not saying anything! I'm just... sayin' :thumbsup2

Last night reservations were still available to book starting November 1st, so that is new. And I believe this would be the first time it hasn't been updated on a Thursday, so that is also interesting!

I seem to remember on someones post, maybe a kingdom report video that when they cancelled through 10/31, no reservations were being accepted till 11/16. I might be wrong....

Noticed similar things with the park hours glitching! Wish was was able to catch that split second of wording when the page first loaded! 20 mins!
