Family coming to San Diego and Orange County in July. Was wondering if you can use your Walst Disney World passes at Disneyland. Have one day left from January trip to the World.

Sorry, they are NOT interchangeable.

You could always call Disneyland directly and ask if they can give you some kind of compensation though.. I think I read a post somewhere that sometimes they give you the worth of that one day for purchasing a 3 or 4 day pass? Not sure but hey its worth asking!

I'm fairly certain that someone else had posted that they WERE able to use a day they had remaining on a WDW park hopper pass at DL......you might want to look through some old posts to see what others have to say. Either way, I suppose it doesn't hurt to ask!

Technically, the answer is "maybe." :D

I think offically the answer is no. But I have heard on another thread that a group was able to use them at DL. I think your best bet is to contact Disneyland directly. You can email them (go to there website ( http://www.disneyland.com )and on the bottom is a link that say "contact us."

I would love to hear the official answer to this. It has always been my understanding that they are definitely not transferrable. We are AP holders at both WDW and DL but have an old WDW hopper that has a day left on it.

I CM at the Disney Store told me this afternoon that YES in deed you can use a WDW Hopper at Disneyland and DCA. I didn't even ask, just happen to pick up a WDW brochure and they offered info about the different hopper and that if you have days left you can use them at DL & DCA.

Too bad you can't use at WDW AP at DL & DCA :)

I agree with some of the other posters here - ask the DL guest services department for the most accurate answer on this question. It's the safest way to go! Have fun!

I was the one who posted that I was able to use my WDW park hooper pass at DL. I have an old Value pass from 1996 and have used it. The first time I used it at DL it was a bit of a pain because they weren't directly linked up to WDW to figure out how many days I had left so I had to wait at the gate a bit. The second time was no problem.

Last year, I even called around Feb. to find out if I could use it at California Adventure and was told, Yes you can. So unless something has changed in the pass year, you should be able to use it. Just go directly to the entrance gate.

Correction to my last post: I wrote "park hopper pass" but it was actually the Value pass. Couldn't hop parks with that one but I've had no problem using the left over days at DL. I have purchased park hopper passes in the past at WDW and was told they could be used at DL although it was pointed out to me DL admission is cheaper, especially when they are running Southern California Resident specials as they are now.

Was that you cannot "hop" between DL and DCA using a WDW park hopper pass. Instead, what you do is go to Guest Relations (ticket sales CMs won't be able to help) and what they will do is give you a one day-one park pass to DL or DCA for each day you have left on your WDW park hopper pass (plus options on WDW passes get you nothing at DL/DCA).

We were concerned because our 4/5-4/19 trip to WDW was going to be our last ever (well, we expect it to be but 6 years from now, who knows) and we had 7 day plus passes. The way our schedule looked we were actually going to have a day left, that's when we found out we could use that day at ONE park in Anaheim.

Needless to say, once in Orlando things changed and we ended up using all 7 days at WDW and have nothing left to use in Anaheim (well, there is good ol' fashioned cash). But it was comforting to know in advance that leftover days wouldn't be wasted.

Thanks for all the good leads. It's nice to know that we can save a couple of hundred dollars on this trip.

My DH and I both had 2 days remaining on our Hopper Pass from WDW. In October 2001, when we went to DL, we were able to use those days up. There was a bit of trouble and time wasted at the front entrance because the CM didn't know what to do. But the CM called the manager who helped us go through the gates and compensated for our time lost by giving us a pass to get onto any ride of our choice without getting into a line-up.

So from our experience, you can use WDW passes at DL. But, the manager told us that you can't use DL passes at WDW.

This is because admission to WDW is more expensive then at DL, which is alway why they let you use WDW admission to get into DL.
