Last week I went to Disneyland twice. Once on Monday morning for a planned day, and the second on Thursday (Aug 3) after all meetings were completed.

They have changed their stroller/wheelchair/ECV rental so it is in the plaza between DL and DCA inside of security. This means you do not have to actually go inside the park for a wheelchair or ECV and can go between parks with the rental.

However, on Thursday we got there about 1:00 and were told that not only were all ECVs rented out, but there were already 13 names on the waiting list for an ECV. In answer to my question, it would have been about a three hour wait to get to the top of the list.

We have always found the wheelchair situation at DL to me more difficult to deal with than at WDW. DL still has a number of attractions with ques that are not mainstreamed so there are still a few cheaters out there.

I find moving the rental out of the parks to be an interesting move. I wonder if they are just saving money by being able to run it with half staff.

Obviously they need to lay in a larger supply of ecv.
