disneyland point charts

Was wondering if anyone had taken a look at the disneyland point charts. 2002 seems to have a large amount of options per hotel, about 5 categories of rooms while 2003 only has 3 categories. Also the number of points per room level has increased. finally there are now only two seaons in 2003. With the elimination of an entire season, the choice in rooms, and the cost per room it makes going to disneyland in 2003 much more expensive. Is this something Disney does often? I was under the impression that they couldn't change the cost of points per room, or is this only for the DVC hotels in WDW?
