Disneyland planning poll

The extent of your daily disney plan

  • Arrive at gate before opening. Itenerary in hand for rides, lunch, rest etc.

  • Arrive fairly early, look at gate guide. Plan a show for later, collect some fast passes.

  • Sleep in, attempt to use fast passes with some success, at least keep in touch through cell phones.

  • Sleep in, leisurely b-fast. Doesn't really understand fast pass.

Just wanted to give mods free reign to delete other poll attempts- I don't know how to delete a thread--it was just late and I got fixated on this...:confused3

Jayne - posted a long prose response to your question in one of your other threads! :thumbsup2

We typically go in the off season and weekdays so we sleep in a little, have breakfast and then head to the park. Our trips are 3-4 nights so we have plenty of time to see everything. No commando style for us anymore.

I can't reply in the poll, drat!

We try for opening the park every day. I usually do NOT have an itinerary in hand, as I generally forget it at home, in the hotel, or in my purse. However, just making the plan gets it into my head, so it's not like we're clueless about things.

I picked the first one but I am not anal about it. Get there early go collect some fp then straight to FL then get some more fp/rides. Have some nom nom's check for afternoon evening shows/parades/fireworks go for a nappy/swim go back have some more fun. Lather rinse and repeat. :happytv:

We usually arrive before rope drop, have a good idea what we will be doing the first few hours, and then as the park gets more crowded, we play it by ear. We collect FPs as they become available.

MY plan is to arrive early (before opening) and have fun. We usually know what we want to attempt to do but no real plan.

Now my next trip will be with someone who has only gone 2 times before and her daughters first trip. So our plan will be more on what THEY want to get done. My advice is get there before opening with plan in hand.

I'm kind of a mix between 1 and 2. I'm early, but not rope drop. I hit the big rides first and get fast passes. Go back to the hotel for lunch, swim and nap, them back to the park for the evening

None of the answers apply to me. We live locally and normally don't go for a whole day. We usually go out for dinner or lunch and catch a ride or two while we're there. That's going to change now that we own at the VGC, we're planning on staying overnight quite a few times this year. So who knows we'll possibly change our touring plans, but for now we mostly go in the afternoon, have dinner and leave the park once it's closing.

I replied in your other thread, but I will give my 2 cents here too. :)
My answer would be between 1 and 2. Arrive before the park opens, head for first fast pass of the day for Indy, and I don't have all that much of an itinerary, other than spending most of my time between New Orleans Square and Adventure land.
