Disneyland planning help needed

We're going to Disneyland next year over the 4th of July. We'll actually be staying in Beverly Hills for a couple nights first, arrive at GCH or GCV on the 4th for 5 nights. I've never been to Disneyland, but been to Disneyworld many many times. One thing I need to know is restaurants! We always go to nice restaurants for dinner in WDW so I need some good suggestions for DL. Also, for the 4th of July, since its our arrival day, no real plans but to watch the fireworks. Any special location, or meal, or things to do? Thanks for any advice!

Be sure to catch dinner at Napa Rose. I hear the Chef's Table is quite the dining experience. We did the regular dinner and it was wonderful!
