Hi,

My children are taking an "educational tour" of California with a trip to DL. This is the first time to go to DL.

Could someone please give me a touring plan of DL for a one day trip. A list of attractions not to be missed would be great.

Thanks

Sherry

Did you want a plan for Disneyland? You can go to Disneyland in one day and see the whole park. (If you get there early) California Aventure can be seen in the same day you don't need a full day at California Adventure, at least it was like that last year. But if you arrive at Disneyland when it opens you will be able to see everything by closing time. Not sure if that is what you were asking or not,.

Everyone's touring plan will be different depending on likes and dislikes. You may want to check out Disneyland.com and come up with YOUR list of must do's. Or buy a guide book, or borrow one from your library.

Generally - get there at least 30 mins before park scheduled opening (if park opens at 8am, that would be 7:30am). You will be able to accomplish more in the early morning hours, with lighter crowds. If you have younger children start in Fantasyland, older children you might start in Adventureland with Indiana Jones. I generally "circle the park." Meaning I start in one area and work my way around. To avoid the crowds at meal time, eat early or late (before 12 or after 2 for lunch, before 4 or after 7 for dinner). Go to the second parade or showing of Fantasmic, for less crowds. During the summer, you may want to take a break from the parks in the afternoon and go back to the hotel for a swim or nap. Then head back to the parks in the evening, refreshed, for an evening of fun.
