Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in on the Billy Hill/Hillbillies topic. The group that was in my photo was performing in front of the Pioneer Mercantile store to the left just as you enter Frontierland, mostly just music. Just before their last song they had a guest come up and MC them and announce them as Billy Hill and the Hillbillies, it was pretty funny actually. Before that, I don't know that we've ever stopped to see them so it's cool to know that there are different setups of the group. We just happened to be having a pretzel on the bench right near there on the day that photo was taken. I think we'll definitely be trying to seek them out on future visits because they were just great, so friendly and entertaining.
That's cool.I've seen them in front of the store too sometimes but not recently. I just catch their show inside the Golden Horseshoe. I did see them playing songs at Big Thunder Ranch too but I don't know if they still go over there.
There is another comedic show I saw in front of Golden Horseshoe 2 weeks ago. It involved a sheriff and 2 robbers and it was hilarious. The crowd loved them and it was really funny.![]()

Hope you have a great time Mike. Looking forward to seeing some of those wide shots.
In honor of Disneyland's Birthday today, here is me during my first visit in 1955. Not for the opening. Oh, I am the short one.
