Disneyland Photopass

Unless the price has gone up, it's $59.95 plus $2.00 for shipping and handling in the U.S. Of course, that price may not show up until you get back from DLR and enter in your PhotoPass card information on the website. Pre-ordering will cost you more money so don't do that!!

Thanks, I'm glad I asked. I could have been one of those suckers PT Barnham talked about.

You're very welcome!:goodvibes No, you would not have been another "sucker born every minute" because we all start off not knowing...until we know, if that makes sense!!:rotfl2: I bet lots of people assume that it's as cost effective and worthwhile to pre-order the PhotoPass CD for DLR as it is for WDW, and they go ahead and do it, not realizing that it's costing them more money that way. When I first came to the DIS, I didn't know about PhotoPass, I didn't know about AP's, I didn't know about RideMax, about making PS's/reservations at the table service restaurants, etc. I only had my DLR experiences to share.

So we all learn from - as well as teach - each other here on the DIS!!

And if you were last in Disneyland in '07, it *was* worthwhile! Costs were the same for both then and pre-ordering was a good plan even for DLR. :)

Thankfully DLR started tinkering with their prices!

I'm not sure if this still works, but when I purchased one in February, I was able to view all the pictures first and add the little extra banners and such to as many pics as I wanted. Make sure you save the add ons as a new copy, because I got the original photo, and about 3 or 4 new photos with added stuff, so I literally tripled the final number of photos. It makes you feel as though you got your money's worth!

Very true, Molly! I have a hunch that in the next couple of years, as the final touches are put on the makeover of DCA, more PhotoPass photographers will return to DCA and the price of the CD will go up a bit because of any extra photo spots they add. Right now it seems that people say that very few photographers are out and about in both parks - even fewer than what used to be there, I suppose. And come to think of it, I think I saw fewer photographers the last time I was at DLR too. But I would have to think that once things are all finished in DCA, that will change.

Yep - still works!! That's the best way to do it - to make as many different versions of each photo as you can (always saving the original version). Try every single border with every photo, make black and white versions of each one, do close-ups/crops of each photo and then do borders on those too, etc. That's how you can pull off crazy feats like turning 11 original photos into 300 photos, or 30 photos into 500, or whatever!! But you get your money's worth!!
