The timeframe is that you have to claim your PP pictures by entering the card onto your account within 30 days of the first picture. And then you have 30 days after that to make your edits and order the CD or prints or coffee cups, etc.
So if you go to DLR and WDW completely inside of that total 60 days you can get just the one CD. But no longer.
About the copyright release. YES you get that. Last time I bought the CD we got a nice pretty paper copy of it in the case, and it's also on the disc. And that makes almost every place happy. However! There are some places that get really twitchy about it and cannot be forced to understand that the release is a proper release. Most often I've heard of this happening at
WalMart photo places...one WM up in Edmonton wouldn't even let a woman I know buy her baby announcements, because they said they were done by a professional...yeah, HER. She was a wedding planner, amateur photog, and did great things with editing software. She had it all on the original card, and showed them everything, but they would not let her buy her prints and nearly kept her memory card! Some Costcos have been weird, I've read, about getting 8x10s printed b/c they say there is something weird about the size.
So just know that the release is totally on the up and up, but some places just don't believe it for some reason. If you run across a place like that, just take your stuff and go elsewhere, as it doesn't seem worth the battle, from what I've read.
I personally haven't had any problems getting my wedding pictures printed from shutterfly or mpix, even though they are obviously professional. I have the DVDs of the pix and the release, but neither site has asked a question about it. Obviously, I recommend them.
