Disneyland Pet Peeves!

Wow can't believe no one mentioned this one...
Couples in line who would really be better off, you know... getting a room! Standing around watching people play tonsil hockey is NOT my idea of fun!

And bad language. Sigh. I sometimes think I am the ONLY person left in society who does not want to hear F-bombs. Is it really too much to ask people to censor their language a little in public? Especially in a place where there are so many children around? (and yes, I have lost it.. once I yelled at an entire table of guys in a restaurant who were cursing like sailors! And everyone else was just staring at me!)

I couldn't agree more!!! I curse like a sailor at home when the kids are in bed, but Disneyland is NOT the place for foul language. Another thing that bothers me is grownups wearing shirts or hats with offensive language. Kids can read! It's tacky anywhere, but especially inappropriate at a family park.

ohhh hands down, YES make out sessions!! that has to the nastiest thing ever to see..and umm with kids around ..kids don't need to be seeing that stuff. there is time and place for everything, and i understand that standing on the bridge at the castle is romantic, but it's not a lip-locking place!

My biggest pet peeve....Mom's or Dad's on their bluetooth talking away to other people and their kids are with them begging for mom or dad's attention....this really gets me going. You are at Disneyland...get off the phone and enjoy your kids and this magical place!


My other big one is people who bump into you or your backpack while you are standing in line....this drives me WILD!

Oh...and one more....people who sit on the railings while you are waiting in line and when you pass them they are half way in your path....urgggggg.

One more that DW is willing to give you free meals and DL never has that promotion. I like to eat no matter what park I am at.

That's for sure! I guess things are so unpredictable at DL they can't plan more than 60 days in advance. AND...and...and...they don't keep an archive of their calendar! That means I have to go surf the internet until I find some random link to some cousin's uncles' blog to figure out what DL "typically" does at any given month.

People in line that like to stand closer to me than DH does. It's like, "excuse me, do I know you?!" Usually about half of those people are allergic to me because they sneeze right on my back! Time to pull out the sanitizer again.

My pet peeve is when you are waiting in line to greet a character and mommy just has to push junior in front of you. I realize we are a group of two adults and two tweens, but Mulan is still my eldest DD's favorite character and has been since she was itty bitty. Doesn't she deserve a picture too? We frequently offer for little ones to go first; we enjoy their joy and fully understand that they are far less patient than we, but don't rudely assume and shove your way in!

Also, chasing a character leaving for break. The character will be back. Let them take a breather. And people wonder why characters can get to be a bit rude once in a while?

I miss the character handlers...

What about people that hover waiting for your table at CS restaurants? May I help you? We just started eating our meal and you staring us down, impatiently waiting for our table is not going to make us eat any faster. Its like tailgating...I am very likely to drive(eat in this case) slower yet!

OH NO how about the table "tailgaters" that ask you if your DONE YET!! that bothers me, i have had that happen..i even put my food down on a table for 2 seconds at the cocina cucamonga in dca, i put my napkin over it and fork to symbolize i was there, i went to get a beer, and i came back and a family of 19 were picking up dirty food from the table and putting it on my food an were about to throw it away!!!! and believe me that did not fly with me. i was like "what are you doing???"" and "why did you just out that dirty peice of old lettuce on my taco", i was sooo p'd off!!!

Maybe becasue they didn't see anyone at your table they figuered it was trash.

I wouldn't leave my plate of food un-attended at a theme park, or any where for that matter.

I agree about the calendar and the free Disney Dining. I like to eat too.
